Tiger Tanaka is the main deuteragonist of 007’s movie You Only Live Twice. He is the fictional head of the Japanese Secret Service and the charismatic chief of the Japanese secret service, though he rarely makes public appearances.
He was played by the late Tetsuro Tamba.
History[]
James Bond hears about Tiger Tanaka from Dikko Henderson, after super fit first secret agent Aki brought him to him and make a great alliance together. His base is located in the Tokyo subways, specifically inside an underground train that's always travelling around in it, for protection.
Tanaka also runs a ninja martial arts school in a castle located in a more remote part of Japan where he trains Bond in Ninjutsu, educates him on Japanese culture, and has him engage in a staged marriage to Kissy Suzuki, an agent/student of his so he can go undercover while he's in disguise and investigating SPECTRE.
Late, Kissy reports back to him after she and Bond and discover SPECTRE's secret volcano base,after which he leads a team of his ninja from the martial arts schoolto help Bond defeat Ernst Stavro Blofeld. When the latter activates a bomb to destroy his entire base, Tanaka is seen escaping with Bond, Kissy and his surviving men.
