Tighnari Valukashuna is supporting and playable character in Genshin Impact. He's the Chief Officer of the Forest Rangers and Collei's mentor. Despite his intelligence, he prefers to live a solitary life in the depths of Avidya Forest rather than in the ivory tower of Sumeru Akademiya because he found it noisy in the Sumeru city.
He is voiced by Moran in the original Chinese, Sanae Kobayashi (who also played Alexis Rhodes in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX series) in the Japanese, Jung Ui-taek in the Korean, and initially Elliot Gindi in English, before being changed to Zachary Gordon.
Appearance[]
Tighnari has fair skin, chin-length dark green hair with black roots and light green streaks at the front, and pale-pupiled eyes fading from brown to green. He also possesses large, pointy black ears and a fluffy tail in two shades of dark green, which resembles fennec fox immigrated into greenwoods.
Personality[]
He's a genius man working as the forest watcher ranger to protect and research the nature of the forest and animals including creatures. He was working with Collei then helping out the forest ranger to taking care of when everyone gets harmed. However, he meets the traveler and Paimon feels ok and has an issue with the task. But the problem is The Akademiya member about Grand Sage was told to assist with the project but he refuse the account in time. He decided to help Traveler and Paimon wanted to free Buer against the Grand Sage Azur.

- Tighnari is the first Standard-wish 5-Star character added since version 1.1, also one of the first playable characters of Dendro Element, despite Baizhu appears in Chapter I (1.0) as an NPC.
- The name Tighnari is derived from al-Tighnari (Arabic: الطغنري), an Arab botanist, traveler, physician, and poet in Islamic Golden Age.
- Additionally, the name Tighnari also has roots in Tamazight, a major language of the Amazigh, an ethnic group indigenous to North Africa.
- Much of Tighnari's design are inspired from traditional Amazigh clothing and accessories, with ears and tail resembling a fennec fox, also native to North Africa.
- Tighnari's English Voice Actor was changed from Elliot Gindi to Zachary Gordon in version 3.6 due to Gindi's sexual abuse.
- Thus, Tighnari is the second Genshin Impact character ever to change voice actor, after Amber.
- Tighnari Valukashuna is the first Genshin Impact character whose first and last name are linguistically inconsistent, respecively from Arabic (Semitic) and Sanskrit (Japhetic).
