Great Snakes!
~ Tintin's reoccurring catchphrase.

Tintin is the titular main protagonist of the comic book series The Adventures of Tintin, written by the late cartoonist Hergé. An adventurer and reporter, he travels world-wide with his terrier Snowy.

He was voiced by Colin O'Meara in the 1991 TV animated series and by Jamie Bell in the 2011 computer-animated film, the latter who also played the Thing from Fantastic Four 2015. In Japanese dub from the movie 2011 he is voiced by Daisuke Namikawa who also voiced Diggs in Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore, Lucario in Pokemon, and Yu Narukami in Persona 4.

Overview[]

He had 24 Adventure books from 1929/1930 "Tintin in the Land of the Soviets" to 1983 "Tintin and Alph-Art" [unfinished]; in 1986 Upon his death, Hergé left around one hundred and fifty pages of pencil sketches for the story. These were edited by a team of experts, including Benoît Peeters, Michel Bareau and Jean-Manuel Duvivier, resulting in forty-two pages of sketches. In 2004 Yves Rodier wrote the closest to a finished cannon version as there is. He uses all of the parts from the manuscript: the original art and the notes and writes and draw roughly in the same style. It is not official, but it is the next best thing, satisfactorily ending the story. A finished, colored, translated version can be found here.http://www.blackkat.net/tintin/pdf/24%20-%20Tintin%20And%20The%20Alph-art.pdf.

Appearance[]

Tintin has fair skin and ginger hair swept upwards. In all of his appearances, he wears a blue shirt with a white collar, brown pants, white socks, shoes, and frequently wears a beige trench coat.

Personality[]

Tintin is shown as a well-rounded yet open-ended character, noting that his rather neutral personality, odd given the evil, folly and foolhardiness which he encounters. He is also well-educated, intelligent, and selfless with morals that cannot be compromised.
