Tippy is a Stegosaurus hatchling and is Spike's playful companion during a stegosaurus migration in The Land Before Time VIII: The Big Freeze.

Tippy first appears in the great valley with his mother and heard. When he met Spike, the pair being fast friends and played with each other.
TV Series[]
Tippy and his herd return to the Great Valley in another winter, and he and Spike playfully reunite. But when Mr. Threehorn started an argument with the Spiketail leader on sharing the food, they forbidden the two young spiketails playing together. But Spike and Tippy were determined to be together.

- Tippy is most likely younger than Spike. This is because he is smaller than Spike, among other reasons.
- The introduction of Tippy, who made friends with Spike, was similar to the introduction of Ali. They both have an awkward introduction, made friends instantly, made friends with the other members of the gang and were both the same kind of dinosaur.
