Tirion in the Call of the Crusade novel.
Highlord Tirion Fordring is a central protagonist in the World of Warcraft MMORPG. A former nobleman of Lordaeron and a master paladin, Fordring served as the Alliance's governor of the area of the Eastern Kingdoms that would later become the Western Plaguelands, "ruling" out of his family holding of Mardenholde Keep in the village of Hearthglen. He served in this capacity until he rescued an orc named Eitrigg from execution, thus causing him to be exiled from the lands of the Alliance.
Many years after the latter happened, Fordring reformed the Knights of the Silver Hand and witnessed the Battle of Light's Hope Chapel. There he purified the Ashbringer and released Darion Mograine and the Knights of the Ebon Blade from the Lich King's influence. He then united the Argent Dawn and Silver Hand into a new alliance known as the Argent Crusade, which became instrumental in bringing about the Fall of the Lich King.
