Jumbo ravagers are neutral mobs that only go outside of their caves when they are hungry. They usually search for food in nearby villages (that's why they live in the plains, because they have the highest chance to spawn a village). If they do not find enough food to feed themselves, they may resort to eating the villagers. Due to their size, it requires a substantial amount of food for them to get fed.
~ An in-universe wiki page about the Titan Ravager's species, aka the "jumbo ravagers".

The Titan Ravager, also known as the Jumbo Ravager, is one of the five tritagonists (alongside the Warden, Endie, Skellington and Spider) of Season 3 of the AvM Shorts.

It's a gigantic version of the normal Ravager mob that was originally looking for food. After witnessing King Orange kill its family, it teamed up with Yellow and Blue to avenge its family and kill the one who took them from it.

History[]

"Titan Ravager"[]

The Titan Ravager is the titular main antagonist.

Escaping from the Nether through a portal, Yellow and Blue encounter a Villager, which asks them to go help them and their village. Once they come to it, they see eaten crops, ravaged houses, and even leftovers of dead mobs. As they hear loud footsteps, they draw their weapons out and see various Villagers being launched into the air, until they finally see the Titan Ravager. It blasts a Villager that tried to shoot it into the air and has a brief fight with the two stick figures. Yellow realises it wants food and manages to distract it with potatoes. Meanwhile, Blue starts planting food in the village, enough to distract the giant again. While it's busy eating, the two stick figures expand the far, and craft a machine that would start shooting the food inside the Titan Ravager's mouth. Eventually, it's tired of eating potatoes and demands something else. With the help of the Villagers, they start planting various types of food and improve the structure. Eventually, the creature is satisfied and leaves.

Once the heroes start celebrating, they realize this is far from over. The Titan Ravager brings in two more of its kind, one bigger and one smaller. While the original giant watches, its family is being fed by the Villagers. However, the smaller one is not satisfied and almost eats one of the Villagers. However, both of them are suddenly killed by King Orange, using a command block to do so. While the creature disappears for the rest of the episode, it's revealed afterwards that after seeing its family murdered, the Titan Ravager escaped.

"The Raid"[]

The Titan Ravager is the tritagonist.

Yellow, who just gained his own staff (with the same command block Orange used to kill the two giants), and a Villager venture into a cave to bring reinforcement against the Illagers, who are raiding the village. Inside it, they find the Titan Ravager. After seeing that Yellow holds the same thing that killed its family, the creature backs away into a corner and covers in fear. After being fed once again, Yellow makes a drawing to show the situation - King Orange killed the Titan Ravager's family using a command block, but Yellow stole the command block and offers the giant a chance to team up and avenge its family by defeating the king. The Titan Ravager crushes the blocks that symbolized King Orange, agreeing to the offer and officially redeeming itself.

Just as Blue is about to be killed by an Illusioner, Yellow, the Villager and the Titan Ravager arrive. The giant's mere presence terrifying the Illagers, they all retreat. Yellow makes a Nether portal and extends it so that the Titan Ravager could fit in it. Spawning potions to make the creature more powerful, he and Blue go through the portal to find and defeat King Orange. It turns out, they arrived just in time - The monarch, using his army of evil duplicates of the heroes, has his hands on the staff he needs to fullfil his plan. Busting through the portal, the Ravager launches both the king and his duplicates into the air, personally crushing the ones of the Warden and Spider. The heroes engage the villains in battle, the Titan Ravager personally challenging the king to a fight - Despite its giant size, the monster has to put up a real fight due to the insane powers King Orange has with the two Minecraft Game Icons, on top of spawning Negatives of the creature. When their allies arrive to the rescue, the fight becomes much more even, at least until King Orange decides to get serious. With both Game Icons and the staff in his hand, the king first crushes the Ravager with a gigantic mace, and then spawns two Negative Ravagers to pin it down. Merging the two Master Blocks into one, he puts the new object onto the staff and unleashes an enormous black hole.

"Note Block Universe"[]

The Titan Ravager is a cameo character, appearing at the very end of the episode.

"The King"[]

The Titan Ravager is one of the six tritagonists (alongside the Warden, Endie, Skellington, Spider and Herobrine).

In the flashback at the beginning of the episode, an article about the Titan Ravager's species is seen in a Minecraft Mysteries book. Curiously enough, they're called "Jumbo Ravagers".

Back in the present, the newly-redeemed Purple arrives, takes the king's staff back and destroys all but few of the Dark Negatives, with the Titan Ravager finishing off the Negative that remained. After its killed, it tries to attack King Orange, but Yellow tells it to back down, giving the king an opportunity to take his command block staff and fight his way towards his original staff and take it from Purple. After a few minutes of fighting, where the heroes are joined by Herobrine himself, the Titan Ravager rushes at the king while Blue, Yellow and Skellington are riding it. However, the king has just learned he can absorb mobs into his staff, and uses it to get the Ravager out of the battle by absorbing it.

At the end of the episode, the Second Coming manages to resurrect everyone who perished during the war, including the Titan Ravager. The newly-redeemed King Orange uses the command block to recreate the Ravager's family, and as seen in the credits, they managed to return back home where they protect the village they once attacked.

Actual Shorts[]

The Titan Ravager is represented in the episode "Fireworks" through a firework showing its face, being followed by the Warden afterwards.

Trivia[]

  • The Titan Ravager was created by DJ, a good friend of series creator Alan Becker. If his reaction when first seeing the creature is anything to go by, he did not intend it to be as big as it currently is, with Alan seemingly mistaking DJ's concept art to be to scale.
  • Alan suggested that the Titan Ravager and its family might be part of a larger tribe.
  • The Titan Ravager was also confirmed to be a whole different species than the normal Ravager.
  • As seen during the blink-and-you-miss-it cameo of the Titan Ravager's wiki page, it's also called the Jumbo Ravager and is an extremely rare neutral mob only spotted in plains biomes (because these are the biomes with the highest chance to spawn villages) that live in caves and go out only to find villages to eat from.
