Thomas "Tom" Kullersen is the main protagonist of the TV series, Dragons: The Nine Realms. Tom Kullersen is the descendant of Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III and Astrid Hofferson.
He is voiced by Jeremy Shada, who also voiced Finn Mertens from Adventure Time, and Lance from Voltron: Legendary Defender.
Biography[]
Season 1[]
Tom was sent to ICARIS by his mom. He later sneaked into the trench to save his drone. Later he met a dragon, whom he befriended and named "Thunder", and they both went to the Hidden World. Later as he is about to go beneath again, Jun Wong also discovered dragons in the Hidden World. She later fell into the cave below and met a two-headed dragon. They helped each other escape. She named them Wu and Wei. Later, they met an injured Gembreaker. They went back to call D'Angelo Baker to help. He treated the dragon and she is well. They defeated the bully Gembreakers that injured her earlier. Later, in Alex's hut, there is an invisible dragon. When she sees her with normal colors she befriends her and named her Feathers. The land has constant earthquakes and the riders discovered that what was responsible was a large dragon, the Fault Ripper. Tom discovered it when he was in the vehicle to go down the trench. The riders and their dragons fight the Fault Ripper. Feathers did a sonic blast and that is the Fault ripper's weakness and she defeated it. The team goes back to the lair to celebrate. Thunder, using his lighting makes a symbol just like Tom’s helmet, shocking him.

He is a blonde hair teenager wearing a modern blue jacket with a yellow shirt inside. He is of European descent, based on his physical appearance. It was stated that he was descended from Vikings.
Personality[]
He is shown to be an adventurous type, since he was able to go in the Polar Bear enclosure when he was five years old.

- Tom's surname —Kullersen— is formed of the Danish Kuller, which means Haddock, and the -søn/sen patronym meaning son of, so his name translates to son of Haddock.
- Aside from his last name, Tom is Hiccup and Astrid's descendant.
- He and his mother are revealed to come from Viking ancestors.
- His family owns a Viking helmet, probably a family heirloom, that has the Strike Class symbol painted on it, which was designed by the Berkians.
- The first time Tom rode Thunder he exclaimed "This is Amazing!" just like Hiccup did various times during the franchise.
- Like Hiccup, Tom seemed to have a knack for finding himself in trouble.
- During the intro of the series, Tom is narrating from a future perspective while an old Viking book is shown with illustrations of the Berkians' war with dragons, Hiccup bonding with Toothless and defeating the Red Death, and his map of the Archipelago.
- His dragon Thunder is a descendant of Hiccup's dragon Toothless and the Light Fury.
- He somewhat resembles Hiccup's son, Nuffink.
- His personality has traits from both Hiccup and Astrid.
