Tom Thomas is one of the main recurring characters in the children's show Fireman Sam. He was introduced in season 5 and is the mountain rescue pilot who is called when the team need helicopter assistance. He is also one of the wild men of Pontypandy, along with Moose Roberts. He is originally from Australia.
In season 5, Tom is voiced by John Sparkes, who also voices Fireman Sam, Elvis Cridlington, Station Officer Steele, Norman Price, Dilys Price, Mike Flood, Trevor Evans and Dusty (although he does not speak), as well as The Farmer and Bitzer in Shaun the Sheep and the narrator along with a few other characters in Peppa Pig. Since season 6, Tom is voiced by David Carling, who also voices Station Officer Steele, Trevor Evans, Chief Fire Officer Boyce and Mike Flood.
Personality and background[]
Tom typically works at the Mountain Rescue Center, he usually tends to go on emergency missions whenever there is a mountain rescue or an emergency that requires his Wallaby 1 helicopter.
Tom is portrayed as a kind person, but he can have some moments where he is cocky or competitive.
Tom owns two vehicles, which is his Wallaby 1 helicopter and his 4x4 jeep. His Wallaby 1 helicopter soon gets replaced by a Wallaby 2 in season 11.

- Tom is one of the few characters in Fireman Sam to not get dubbed into American English in the US dub of the show.
