Tommy Himi (Japanese name: Tomoki Himi) is one of the main protagonist characters in Digimon Frontier. He is the youngest of the group and wields the Spirit of Ice to transform into Kumamon.
Tommy is one of the DigiDestined, children who were chosen to receive the ability to transform into Digimon and save the Digital World.
Tommy is the youngest member of the team and has been spoiled his entire life. As a result, he initially relies on others to see him through, and his actions are rarely thought out. He can be selfish without meaning to, and he dislikes not getting his way. Because of his nature, Tommy is often bullied, which makes him shy away from others. It is shown that this comes from being spoiled by his parents growing up, something his older brother Yutaka had tried to help him overcome to no affect. However, Tommy has a pure heart, and is empathetic and eager to help others whenever he can. In the Digital World, he learns strength, bravery, and even forgiveness, to the point where he will even save those who tormented him before.
He is voiced by Kumiko Watanabe in the Japanese Version and by Brianne Siddall in the English Version.
Appearance[]
Tommy is a young boy with light skin, short brown hair and green eyes. He wears a mustard-colored shirt under a white V-neck shirt with short sleeves, a dark green collar and dark green trimmings at the sleeves and the bottom. He also wears yellow shorts with two pockets at the front and red suspenders hanging loosely from the sides, orange socks, and white and green snickers. On his head, he wears an oversized orange newsboy cap.
Personality[]
He starts out as a bit of a whiny crybaby. However, he is also sweet, kind-hearted, brave and modest, and quickly begins to mature through his experiences in the Digital World. He will not tolerate any bullying, which comes from his experiences of being bullied in the Real World.
Tommy was always spoiled by his parents, who gave in to his every whim and bought him all the toys and candy he desired. His much-older brother, Yutaka, disapproved of his parents' way of raising Tommy. He refused to pamper his little brother Tommy from hand and foot, telling his younger brother that he'll never learn how to do things by himself if he will rely on other people. Because of this, Tommy resented Yutaka, and thought his brother did not love him.
