Tony Freyd is a supporting character in the anime, manga, and light novel series Wise Man's Grandchild. He is a member of Ultimate Magic Research Society and ranks 9th in the first year S-Class. Despite coming from from a family with reputation around knights, he chose to become a student at Advanced Magic Academy, due to the larger number of girls at the academy rather than in the Knights Training Academy. He is one of the few magicians who excelled in swordplay other than Shin. He acquired the title 'Knight Magician' after he defeated a giant demon deer with magic and swordsmanship.
He is voiced by Chiaki Kobayashi in Japanese and Matt Shipman in English.

Personality[]
Tony is an easy going person, but does not respect the environment of knights and is more interested in flirting with girls. However, he settles on a serious girlfriend; having earned her respect and affection, after ditching the playboy routine. He is somewhat oblivious, not realizing why his former friend would be angry at Tony for dating and kissing the former's crush.
Abilities[]
- Ice Magic: Tony can launch shards of ice, which he used to impale a demon wolf during a training exercise.
