Torvar is a Nord warrior and member of the Companions who resides within Jorrvaskr in Whiterun. He is one of the Companions new members and isn't taking well to the intensive training.
Personality[]
Judging by his voice and his interests, it is no coincidence that Torvar is a drunkard, as he has a tendency to drink mead frequently within Jorrvaskr. Because of this, he tends to be more reluctant in going into combat than the rest of the Companions.
He also shown to become easily jealous, as when the Dragonborn begins progressing through the ranks, he starts becoming sour in terms of behavior. This, however, ultimately subsides after the questline ends.
In combat, he tends to prefer slower, but more devastating weapons such as axes and hammers, this is evidenced by the conversation he has with Athis.
Role[]
His role in the Companions questline is minimal. He makes a cameo after the Silver Hand raids Jorrvaskr and kills Kodlak Whitemane, the Harbinger of the Companions, as well as at his memorial service up at Skyforge.
After the Dragonborn completes the Companions questline, he will become available as a follower, as well as a candidate for marriage if they process the Amulet of Mara.
He can also be found occasionally within the sleeping quarters or out in the wilderness fighting a mammoth alongside Athis and Farkas.
