Toshimitsu Saitō is a character in the Samurai Warriors series. He is one of Mitsuhide Akechi's most trusted retainers, often treated as second only to Hidemitsu Akechi.
He was voiced by Shogo Sakata.
History[]
When he started with protected Mino from Nobunaga's first invasion, Toshimitsu serving under Dosan Saito alongside his friend Mitsuhide and solves many of problems about Yoshitatsu's committed a serious coup. Following Dosan died at hands by his son and the Akechi Castle is subsequently destroyed as well, Toshimitsu following Mitsuhide in drifting the land for a elite master due to his being a member of the ruling clan and feeling no longer welcoming. With the help of Nobunaga, Toshimitsu and Mitsuhide are defeat Yoshitatsu. Much to their kudos, the two guys traveling to the most lands, in which they helps Yoshikage Asakura to defense of Echizen and encountering with Nagamasa Azai.
After help Shikanosuke Yamanaka and his efforts to restored the Amago and dueled with Kenshin at the fourth clash of Kawanakajima, Mitsuhide and Toshimitsu are eventually helps Nobunaga to marched with Yoshiaki Ashikaga to Kyoto and joining with his forces upon the forces they were helped with their journey to turned against the Oda. He continued to worried about his lord fights with old friends and keep on loyalty to followed him under Nobunaga and even his own single battles such as Taiba. After Shikanosuke's death at Kozuki Castle, Toshimitsu bewail his fate alongside his lord until that they plans to betrayed Nobunaga.
During the incident at Honnoji, Mitsuhide swear to kill Nobunaga and taken over his power in order to ruled the territory. Toshimitsu also repelled the Oda forces in caused them to death so when Mitsuki tried to faced Mitsuhide although she aided Nobunaga. Upon the protest, he victory to defeat his former lord. Afterwards, Nobunaga was already demise, Toshimitsu finally accompained his friend's rebellion. At the final battle against Hideyoshi's forces at Yamazaki, Toshimitsu was killed while he defended the Akechi main camp from Kanbei Kuroda. As Hideyoshi, who fought Mitsuhide and successfully to slaying him with his spear, much to have winner.
