He's older than the universe. He needs the key. Then everything will end.
~ Toxin.
Venom, run, go!
~ Toxin's last words.

Toxin Symbiote[1] is the overarching protagonist in the 2024 film Venom: The Last Dance, the third and final installment in the Venom trilogy.

He is portrayed by Stephen Graham.

Biography[]

Toxin was one of the hundreds of thousands of Symbiotes created by Knull decades to even centuries ago. He later helped his brothers and sisters imprison their father/creator, before fleeing to earth to find refuge there in order to escape Knull’s wrath.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage[]

Toxin does not appear in the second film, but saves Patrick from death off screen after Carnage’s son bonds with Patrick, but then abandons him.

Venom: The Last Dance[]

Upon bonding with his new host, Toxin and Patrick are taken to Area 51, where they are put into a containment cell. For the next few days, Toxin would communicate with Patrick about Knull’s return, and Patrick would pass on the information to the scientists.

When Venom, Eddie and a Xenophage came to Area 51, Toxin and Patrick broke out of their cell and attempted to save Eddie and Venom from the creature. They were able to hold it off long enough for Venom to get reinforcements, before the Xenophage consumed and killed both Toxin and his host.

Trivia[]

  • Unlike in the comics Toxin reveals to be green instead of scarlet, orange and black especially after fans mistaken him for Lasher, while having a minor role.
  • Unlike Riot and Carnage, Toxin is the only symbiote to alley himself with Venom when he sacrifices himself to save him and Eddie Brock from Xenophage.
  • At the beginning of the movie it was said that Patrick's symbiote abandoned him, leaving him for dead in order to escape from Strickland's soldiers, so this Toxin is not Venom's grandson nor does he seem to share any relationship with him.
    • Its possible that the real Toxin who abandon Mulligan might return and possessed Eddie Brock since its still based on the comics when Eddie bounds with the Toxin symbiote after Venom.
