Hiro Okamura, also known as Toyman and Toyman III, is a character in DC Comics and ally of Superman and Batman. He is also a major protagonist in the animated movie Superman/Batman: Public Enemies.
Biography[]
Hiro Okamura is a Japanese mechanic genius who became the third Toy Man. Toy Man III used a giant Super Robot to fight Metallo and claimed the cyborg's equally-giant body was based on the material taken from his grandfather.
Toy Man III became an ally to Batman and Superman. In the Superman/Batmanseries where he aided the heroes in destroying a kryptonite meteor that was going to destroy Earth and decided to provide Batman with various technological implements in Superman/Batman #7.
Toy Man III used more technologically advanced devices than the ones that Schott used that were inspired by anime and manga. Toy Man III then became a member of the Teen Titans once Super Boy and Robin became his best friends.
In Superman/Batman #46, Toy Man III assisted the duo by using nanobots to collect kryptonite molecules floating in the air. His offer became a necessity as Lana Lang, in an effort to keep LexCorp financially successful, turned the Kryptonite into bombs which irradiated the entire universe. Toy Man III was able to save the day and got what he wanted: a date with Power Girl and membership in the Justice League.
