Trig Longo is one of the main protagonists of the novel, Star Wars: Death Troopers. He was one of the sole survivors of the outbreak aboard
"The Purge".
Bio
Trig, along with his brother Kale, was a prisoner aboard the Imperial prison barge "The Purge". They were brought there along with their father, Von Longo. However, Von passed away while on board. When The Purge's engines were damaged during a transit to a detainment moon, a group was sent to board a nearby derlict star destroyer to scavenge for parts.
Unfortunately, the boarding party brought back an airborne strain of a lethal disease (later discovered to be an imperial bioweapon called "Project Blackwing"). Trig, along with Kale, Dr. Sahara Cody, and Captain Jareth Sartoris seemed to have an immunity to the airborne strain and survived the initial outbreak.
Trig, Cale, Cody, and Sartoris, along with Han Solo and Chewbacca, who were being kept in solitary, then discover the virus reanimates those who have recently died into mindless creatures with a craving for flesh. The survivors escaped to the nearby star destroyer, where the undead horde that was once the crew awaited them.
While aboard the destroyer Kale was infected and killed, as well as Sartoris. Trig, Cody, Han, and Chewbacca were able to escape on an imperial shuttle called "Free Bird" to the planet Galantos, where they went their seperate ways.
