~ Troglor before teaming up with Gwimbly. |
Troglor is a secondary antagonist in the Smiling Friends episode "Gwimbly: Definitive Remastered Enhanced Extended Edition DX 4K (Anniversary Director's Cut)."
He was the new mascot of Insane Groundbreaking Games and the IGBG CEO's partner-in-crime, serving as a foil to Gwimbly's outdated graphics and mechanics and enlisted to kill him and the Smiling Friends. However, after the CEO was killed, he decided to team up with Gwimbly to star in a new game and find a new direction in life.
He is voiced by Joshua Tomar.
Appearance[]
He is a giant, imposing humanoid with broad shoulders, dark blue skin, a skull-like face, and glowing red eyes. He wears olive-green, space marine armor, and his right arm is a laser cannon. His right shoulder is adorned with a giant, off-white skull from an unknown species.
Personality[]
Troglor initially has a very duteous, amoral personality, as he simply follows the orders of his master to the letter without other considerations. However, after his master is killed, he reveals himself to be lonely, and companionably decides to team up with Gwimbly to participate in a new game.
Biography[]
After Gwimbly tries to assert that he is still the iconic mascot of IGBG, the CEO mocks him before introducing him, Pim, and Allan to Troglor, the new IGBG mascot, composed of one-trillion polygons and deemed the new icon of modern gaming. Troglor tries to intimidate and impress the group on behalf of the CEO by firing a laser inside, but the CEO reprimands him, explaining that it is inappropriate to do so indoors. After the Smiling Friends leave and declare their intentions to crowdfund an independent game, the CEO enlists Troglor as his minion to kill them.
Later, as the trio grieves Mr. Millipede's death, the CEO and Troglor destroy his grave, ambush them, and chase them back to the office, where James is harassing Charlie.
The CEO commands Troglor to shoot James after he was insulted, but Troglor hesitates, reminding the CEO that he was previously told not to shoot indoors. Because he refused the order, James kills the CEO by stabbing him in the head. After the CEO's death, Troglor explains that he is now alone, so he and Gwimbly form a friendship and later appear together in a crossover fighting game.
