Trudy Chacón is a character in the 2009 film Avatar. She was an ex-Marine pilot serving the RDA on Pandora under SecOps' aviator wing.

She was portrayed by Michelle Rodriguez, who portrayed Letty Ortiz from the Fast and the Furious franchise, Smurfstorm in Smurfs: The Lost Village, and Holga Kilgore in Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.

History

Trudy met Jake Sully shortly after his arrival at Hell's Gate in 2154 in the cafeteria and developed a romantic relationship with Norm Spellman during their time on Pandora. Trudy later flew Jake, Grace Augustine, and Dr. Norm Spellman into the Pandoran forests and stayed with Lyle Wainfleet to guard the Samson.

When Jake went missing, she flew for Jake's Avatar as Colonel Quaritch deemed it too dangerous. Trudy also flew Jake, Grace and Norm to a temporary science outpost in the Hallelujah Mountains, known as Site 26.

During the attack on the Hometree, Trudy decided not to join the assault because of her refusal to fire at innocent Na'vi or their hometree. She rescued Jake, Norm and Grace from their cell and airlifted their link containers at Site 26 away from RDA forces.

During the final battle, Trudy sided with Jake Sully and the Na'vi during the Assault on the Tree of Souls. However, she was out-gunned when Miles Quaritch turned on his Dragon Gunship's formidable firepower. It knocked one of her Samson's enguine, which Trudy attempted to disable. However, The Dragon hit her Samson with a missile and Trudy was killed in the explosion.

Powers and Abilities

• Skilled Pilot: Trudy was one of the best SecOp pilots in the RDA. She was able to fly a Samson aircraft and stand against Colonel Quaritch's Dragon Assault Ship before she was shot down.
