Twink is a supporting character in Paper Mario. He is a Star Kid who helps Princess Peach deliver information to Mario while she is held captive by Bowser.

Paper Mario[]
A few days after Bowser's Castle lifted her own into the sky, Princess Peach wished that someone would help her after everything that has happened. Suddenly, Twink appears to grant Peach's wish, but due to being a novice, he is only able to help by delivering messages to Mario on her behalf. Twink is first sent to give Mario a Lucky Star necklace that will allow him to use Action Commands in battle. He also informs Mario that Peach is okay before returning to the princess' castle to assist her further.
After the first chapter, Twink helps Peach find a way to escape her bedroom in order to learn more about the imprisoned Star Spirits Mario needs to rescue. They manage to sneak around the castle and discover important details Twink can tell Mario throughout his journey, but they are eventually caught by Kammy Koopa during the seventh chapter. Although Twink is knocked out of the castle by Bowser, he reappears during the final boss battle to fight against Kammy Koopa.
Peach's wishes for his safety gave Twink the strength to win the fight and made him realize her wishes can also be used to strengthen the Star Spirits enough to dispel Bowser's invincibility in his battle with Mario. Twink combines his powers with the Star Spirits and Peach's wishes to perform the Peach Beam which allows Mario to defeat Bowser and finally retrieve the stolen Star Rod. Afterwards, Twink bids Peach farewell and returns to the skies to make other wishes come true.
