Twitch Malto is one of the four main protagonists (alongside Morgan, Thrash and Robby Malto) of the Nickelodeon series Transformers: EarthSpark. She is one of the first-born two Terrans (Earth-born Transformers) and one of the Malto siblings. She is enthusiastic and wants to learn new things while bonding with her adoptive brother, Robby. She is enthusiastic to learn new things and may be even more mature than her brother. However, the four are all connected through the mysterious cyber-sleeves.

Earth-born Terran born out of primordial sludge in the cave waters of Witwicky, Pennsylvania, like her brother Thrash. She’s a keen observer of everything around her and has a fierce competitive streak. Twitch is enthusiastic, exuberant, and eager to learn… but she’s also determined to be the best, and unafraid to use her knowledge to get the upper hand in whatever she deems a competition. This take-charge attitude can sometimes land her in unpredictable situations; fortunately, she’s fast on her feet, clever enough to formulate a plan on the fly, and armed with an array of high-tech Cybertronian gadgets while in her drone alternate mode.
As a member of the Malto family, Twitch is close to her adoptive brother Robby; unlike her Terran brother Thrash, however, she also possesses a close connection with Wheeljack, the inventor of her alternate mode, whom she views as a “second father” of sorts.
History[]
Twitch and Thrash were brought online when Robby and Mo made contact with a mysterious rock. While the Terrans were initially afraid of the kids,they quickly warmed up to them. When an Arachnamech attacked the group, Twitch incapacitated it with a built in blaster. Afterwards, she and Thrash were hidden inside the Maltos barn lest their parents find out about them.
Twitch and Thrash spend the whole night reading comics, but are unable to learn about being a Transformer from it. The next morning, they wake Robby up, and Twitch hid from Dot under a van (which she tries and fails to convert into). Later, she and Thrash listen to Alex Malto's story of the Great War, but end up perplexed by it as they don't see their place in it, wanting to learn about Earth instead. During target practice she notices one of Optimus' drones, mistaking it for a bird. She squints to get a better look which results in her scanning it and falling off the tree she was on. Before she could hit the ground she transforms into her new alt mode and flies.
Powers and Abilities[]
Despite her strong competitive streak, Twitch is shown to be very nimble and fast while on foot. Her main weapon of choice is an arm cannon. However, Twitch is also shown to use a deflector shield while in her drone form. Aside from her agility and long-ranged weaponry, Twitch is surprisingly strong considering how small she is compared to her fellow Cybertronians. Twitch also wields a pair of energy swords for close-ranged combat.
She can use to rotors on her drone form to generate powerful blasts of air and tornadoes, if she points them downward. Twitch is the one equipped with ranged weaponry, with an Arm Cannon in robot mode, and a smaller cannon and EMP (it runs off her power supply, and allows her to paralyze Cybertronians and fellow Terrans for a while) in vehicle mode. It's notable that whenever Twitch discovers a new ability or function of hers, she seems to have complete mastery over it in seconds. In "Classified", she showed impressive skill with her rotor-swords, despite only discovering them a moment ago, and in "Traditions" she uses her drone-mode's EMP and Deflector Shield perfectly right after Wheeljack tells her about both.
Despite her comparatively small stature to the other Cybertronians and Terrans, she's strong enough to wrestle the much taller Thrash to the ground and man-handle him in "H.O.U.S.E. Rules" and is able to carry Bumblebee, who is even bigger and heavier than Thrash, in drone-form in "Mooo-ving In" without showing any signs of fatigue or exertion.
