Twyla is one of the supporting characters in the 2006 animated film, Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses. She is an orange kitten belong to Princess Genevieve who, like her owner, loves to dance and pretends to be fearless like a tiger.
She is voice by Nicole Oliver, who also voiced Carlita in Barbie of Swan Lake.
Twyla is a lovable kitten who is very loyal to Genevieve, her sisters, her father, and to any of her friends. Like Genevieve, Twyla enjoys dancing. Whenever Genevieve is sad or happy, Twyla feels the same way as her owner does.
Meanwhile, she tried to scare Brutus, Rowena's monkey, by telling him she was related to the tigers of India, but he wasn't fooled. She dislikes Brutus because he antagonizes her, but she likes Felix, Derek's parrot even though Felix misinterpreted that when they first met.
Also, Twyla manages to fully prove that by saving Felix from Brutus by putting on a mouse trap on Brutus's tail. Despite being small for her size, Twyla is able to defend herself and those she likes.
Twyla is small ginger kitten with green eyes. She believes she descends from Indian tigers. She was white fur around her eyes, nose and mouth, chest and paws. Twyla wears a little pink bow around her neck.
- When not interacting with humans, Twyla can speak to other animals such as Brutus and Felix.
- Twyla is the third cat to be owned by a Barbie character; first being Serafina and second being Wolfie who are both from the movie Barbie: The Princess and the Pauper.
