An alphabetical listing of heroes by type.

- War Heroes: A Hero who has fought or participated in a war to battle against those that would threaten their country or the world.
- Warriors: A heroic barbarian who lives a life of war and combat, while also maintaining honour, justice and often freedom.
- Wayward Heroes: Heroes who despise having anyone make decisions for them, feeling confined in a tight space, and so are willing to defy set expectations.
- Weaklings: A hero who is physically weak and thus unable to be much help in combat. Thus they rely on other methods to fight evil.
- Wealthy: A Hero who has a lot of money or has a wealthy background.
- Western Heroes: A hero who lives and acts in the old west (or a setting similiar to or inspired by it).
- Wise: A hero who possesses much wisdom and understanding to being aware about what happen to them or around them.
- Wrathful: A hero who struggles with controlling their temper or violence; which is quite often their fatal flaw.
- Wrestlers: A Hero who is a wrestler or is skilled in wrestling.
