Ui Ui is a supporting character in the Jujutsu Kaisen anime/manga series. He is a jujutsu sorcerer and the younger brother of the first-grade sorcerer Mei Mei.

He was voiced by Yūko Sanpei in Japanese and Sarah Anne Williams in English.

Appearance[]

Ui UI is a young pre-teen boy of short hair with short silver-colored hair like his sister. He wears a white sorcerer outfit and black overalls, high-knee black socks, and shoes.

Ui Ui primarily acts very loyal toward his older sister and does not intend to act like others of the same age as him. He enjoys being praised by Mei Mei like when his sibling patted his head as he carried her weapon and is irritated when he believes that others like Yuji Itadori interrupt her when she is controlling birds or do not show enough respect toward her, basically treating her as his goddess. He is always willing to serve her with happiness. Naturally, she is deeply concerned whenever his sister appears to be in a dangerous circumstance but switches to excitement when he sees her gaining the upper hand in battle. He was even willing to sacrifice his own life without much concerns toward while facing against Smallpox Deity.

Despite his young age, Ui Ui is a capable and helpful assistant in battle during the Shibuya Incident and is often seen carrying his sister's large axe. When needed, he is also able to activate his own cursed energy ability.

High Cursed Energy: As the younger brother of a first-grade sorcerer, Ui Ui bears without a doubt a pretty high amount of cursed energy that was able to reach a special-grade cursed spirit, the Smallpox Deity to assist in his sister's fight.
Binding Vow: The siblings have made a pact where Ui Ui is only allowed to unleash his technique.
Innate Technique: Although not a very clearly described technique, Ui Ui has the impressive ability to teleport both of them from a vast distanced location, from Japan to Malaysia, and has also been showcased to come in contact with Maki Zenin.
New Shadow Style: Simple Domain: Ui Ui generates a limited space that provides the effect of completely canceling cursed energy inside. This technique was shown to come in handy when he evaded one of the gravestones created by the domain of the Smallpox Deity.
