Ultraman, also known as Ken Sato is the titular main protagonist of the 2024 Netflix cgi animated film Ultraman: Rising. He is the son of Hayo and Emiko Sato.
He is voiced by Christopher Sean in the English version and Yuki Yamada in the Japanese version.
History[]
As a kid, he spent most of his childhood in an apartment building in Odaiba, where he grew a fascination with baseball. While Hayo hoped that his son would eventually become the next Ultraman and follow in his footsteps his mother, Emiko was the opposite and insisted that he instead become a baseball player. Following Gigantron’s attack, as well as attacks from other monsters, Kenji's parents choose to separate, leading to Kenji moving with his mother to Los Angeles, United States while his father stayed in Tokyo.
As a result of this, Ken came to believe his father had abandoned them in favor of being a kaiju researcher, thus causing their relationship to be very strained and distant as well as him being reluctant to become Ultraman.
