Ultraman Taiga is main protagonist of Ultraman Taiga. He is the son of a ultraman from 1973 known as, Ultraman Taro. He has the behavior of a young adult. He desperately wants to prove his dad that he is a good hero. From Nebula M78 or Land of Light, Taiga trains with his master, Ultraman 80. During his studying on Zero's history, he see images of Ultraman Titas and Fuma. Both of them from different universes. He then forms a team known as the Tri-Squad to follow what Zero did. He then faces his arch-rival, Ultraman Tregear . He loses the battle and his friends goes missing. He then goes to a another earth to meet Hiroyuki Kudo to team up with him so they can defeat Tregear and find Taiga's missing friends.

Character Overview[]

The titular hero of the series and the son of Ultraman Taro, who once protected the Earth. Deep inside, he wishes his father Taro to understand and recognize him, but he cannot admit his true feelings. He has a strong sense of justice and is very enthusiastic. Along with Titas and Fuma, he founded the “Tri Squad”. Although still young and unskilled, he is dedicated in his mission to protect Earth.

Together with Hiroyuki, he grows to become a true Ultraman.

  • Because of his father Ultraman Taro occasionally neglecting him in some of the episodes, Taiga is occasionally ridiculed as an unfavored child for Taro, while Ultraman Ginga (who is Taiga's partner in some occasions) is usually depicted (albeit in a jest manner) as Taro's favorite child or a "True" son for him.
