United Air Defense is an organization featured in the Ace Combat franchise, serving as the protagonist faction in Ace Combat Advance. It was a military alliance formed by various Usean nations to resist the influence of General Resource.
History[]
Around the 2030s, megacorporations such as General Resource were gaining more and more influence, surpassing traditional states and becoming superpowers in their own right. General Resource took extreme measures to assert their dominance, creating their own Air Strike Force. To combat this threat, countries on the Usean continent formed the United Air Defense and deployed in against the corporatocrates.
One of the UAD pilots, Ace, distinguished themself as particularly skilled, having successfully accomplished many crucial missions and destroyed much of the enemy forces. In the final stage of the conflict, as Air Strike Force prepared to launch a nuclear attack on UAD, Ace stormed their last stronghold and put an end to their plans, resulting in UAD's victory.
United Air Defense isn't seen or mentioned in Electrosphere, which takes place 8 years later, thus the organization's status is unknown.
