Ursula Stanhope is the deuteragonist of George of the Jungle and its sequel. She is a wealthy heiress who is the love interest (later wife) of the titular character. In the first film, she was portrayed by Leslie Mann, who later voiced Linda Gunderson in Rio and its sequel, while in the second film, she was portrayed by Julie Benz.
History
Early Life
Ursula was born in San Francisco in California to Arthur and Beatrice Stanhope. She was raised as a wealthy heiress and was the fiancée of Lyle Van de Groot.
George of the Jungle
Ursula Stanhope first appears where she explores the area with her snooty fiance, Lyle, who abandons her when a lion attacks them. She is saved by George, and is taken care by him while Lyle and a couple of poachers (in search of the mythical "White Ape", which is George) try to find her. Ursula and George eventually fall in love with each other, much to her mother's disapproval, and they go back to San Francisco for the requisite plot. Ursula and Gorge deal with the treacherous Lyle and when she is saved by George, they marry each other, and have a son together.
