Hello. Today will be my next offer for the status of an PG, and it isdedicated to Colossus.

What's the work?

X-Men is a series of films about the superhero team of the same name. In this case, we will discuss both timelines. Later, two solo films about Deadpool were also released, which will also be discussed today, since our current candidate plays an important role in them.

Who is Colossus? What did he do?

Colossus is one of the characters in the X-Men movie series. He is a mutant and one of Professor Charles Xavier's students. He was initially a supporting character, but his role expanded over time.

Original Timeline

In this timeline, Colossus doesn't have a lot of screen time, so there's not much to say about him.

In the movie X-Men 2, when the school is under attack, Colossus rescues the Siren and takes the younger students to safety. He offers Wolverine help, but Logan tells him to take care of the students.

In the movie X-Men: The Last Stand, in a Dangerous Room, Colossus throws Wolverine at a Guardian, and he destroys the enemy. Next, Colossus joins the fight with the other X-Men against Magneto on Alcatraz. Like the scene in the Danger Room, he throws Wolverine at Magneto so that the villain is distracted by Logan and does not notice the Beast, which injects the vaccine against Magneto's mutation.

In the movie X-Men: Days of Future Past, Colossus joins the mutant resistance in the future and is killed when he is torn in two by the Guardians. But Wolverine changes the future, and everyone, including Colossus, survives.

Revised Timeline

In this timeline, Colossus already has a lot more screen time.

In the movie Deadpool, Colossus spent a long time trying to persuade Deadpool to join their team, and his student Ellie Phimister (Negasonic Teenage Warhead) also tried to persuade Deadpool to do so. Colossus tried to take Wade to Professor Charles Xavier, handcuffing him to himself, but he cuts off his hand with a knife and disappears. His arm subsequently slowly regenerates. Ajax sends Wilson a message in which he offers to come to a decommissioned helicarrier at a local landfill, where he keeps Vanessa and is also going to develop her mutant genes. Deadpool persuaded Colossus and Warhead to help him, and they arrive at the dump. Colossus and Warhead engage in battle with Angel Dust, while Deadpool fights his way to Ajax through his henchmen. Because Angel Dust was a woman, Colossus didn't want to hit her at first, but na forced him to. With the help of a Warhead, Deadpool gets on the helicarrier and engages in a long-awaited battle with Ajax. Meanwhile, while saving the Colossus, the Warhead accidentally destroys the pillars of the helicarrier, and it begins to fall apart. Colossus takes the Warhead and Angel Dust to safety, and Deadpool rescues Vanessa. Ajax survives and attacks Deadpool, but Deadpool incapacitates him by breaking both of his arms. Deadpool, despite Colossus' pleas to let him live, finished Ajax off.

He pulled Wade's body parts, blown apart by the explosion, from the wreckage of his apartment and brought them to the X-Mansion. Deadpool has recovered and is sent, accompanied by Colossus and a Supersonic Warhead, as an intern of the X-Men to an orphanage called the Mutant Reeducation Center. There, mutant teenager Russell Collins (Firefist) threatens to smash everything around him to smithereens and kill anyone who approaches him. Russell insists that the shelter staff bullied him. After hearing Russell's words, Deadpool kills one of the workers. Because of this, Colossus got mad at Deadpool and allowed him to be arrested because he had violated one of the rules of superheroes - not to kill. He and Russell are arrested and placed in a prison for mutants. Meanwhile, Cable breaks into the prison to kill Russell. Protecting the boy, Wade falls off the prison wall as a result of the explosion, taking the cyborg with him. Later, Russell, along with Juggernaut, one of the transported prisoners, escapes and decides to kill the orphanage director. Next, Deadpool, Domino, and Cable arrive at the orphanage and fight the Juggernaut, while Russell tries to kill the orphanage's director. The heroes lose to Juggernaut, after which Colossus, Warhead and her girlfriend Yukio come to their aid, and together they manage to defeat Juggernaut. As a result, thanks to their joint efforts, the future was changed.

Admirable standards

It's a difficult here, given the high admirable standards of the franchise, but I'll try to explain why, in my opinion, Colossus fully meets these standards. In the original timeline, he provided significant assistance in defeating Magneto, as well as protecting mutants from the Sentinels. He also helped Deadpool in some of his heroic deeds, such as defeating Ajax (it should be said that he is Pure Evil) and saving Russell from a future malice that would kill Cable's family in the future. I also wouldn't compare him to characters like Charles Xavier, Magneto, and Jean Grey, who still have more resources. Nevertheless, Colossus is doing just as well as Deadpool, I think.

Corrupting Factors

I don't recall Colossus showing anything like this in the original timeline (although this is most likely due to his relatively small screen size and small number of replicas). In the revised timeline, Colossus already has many more lines and screen time and is presented as a very kind and gentle man, despite his formidable appearance. However, sometimes he has shown some actions that may seem corrupting, but I will explain why I don't really consider these actions as such. In the first Deadpool movie, he repeatedly wanted to force him into the X-Men team, but it was justified because Deadpool was a complete limitless man, and Colossus only wanted to fix him. In the second part, Colossus also got angry and attacked Deadpool several times, and then even allowed him to be arrested, but this was also justified, since Deadpool was violating the rules of the superhero, and even so, Colossus still restrained himself at the last moment and did not harm Deadpool much. Considering the above facts, his resentment of Deadpool was justified, and despite this, he still came to help him cope with Juggernaut. And although during the battle with Juggernaut, Colossus used "dirty" techniques and said that now he could break the rules, it was also justified, since Juggernaut was incredibly strong, and otherwise it would not have been possible to defeat him.

Verdict

I would say weak yes.
