Actually I thought at first that she's too standard to qualify but SalohcinPancakes had a different opinion that she has a shot at this for her low resources which inspired me to do her Proposal.
Note: This Proposal is only dedicated to Ashley from the Remake since her original counterpart is nothing but a pain in the ass who doesn't do anything helpful.

What's The Work?
Resident Evil is a popular survival horror video game series created by Capcom. The series follows various characters as they battle against hordes of zombies and other mutated creatures in order to survive and uncover the mysteries behind the outbreaks. The games are known for their intense atmosphere, challenging gameplay, and intricate storylines. The series has spawned numerous sequels, spin-offs, and adaptations in other forms of media, including movies, novels, and comics. (Copied from my past proposals).
Resident Evil 4 Remake is a game published in 2023 for PC, PS4, PS5. It centers about Leon S. Kennedy, a U.S. government agent tasked with rescuing the president's kidnapped daughter, Ashley Graham, from a mysterious cult in a rural European village.
Who's She? What Has She Done?
Ashley Graham is the deuteragonist the Resident Evil 4 Remake. She is the daughter of the President of the United States and is kidnapped by a mysterious cult. The game's protagonist, Leon S. Kennedy, is tasked with rescuing her. Throughout the game, Ashley accompanies Leon, and the latter often have to protect her from various dangers and enemies.
What Did She Do?
- When Leon arrived to rescue her, she quickly placed her trust in him despite her fear.
- Despite her fear, Ashley actively participated in the escape plan with Leon.
- Followed Leon's directions meticulously during their initial escape, making the process smoother.
- Stayed calm and helped Leon and Luis defend against attacks in the cabin.
- Informed Leon about her worsening condition, prompting him to seek urgent help.
- During the abattoir battle, Ashley broke open a window, facilitating Leon's escape.
- She kept her composure despite the stress and fear of becoming a Ganado.
- Endured the symptoms of the Plaga infection, helping Leon find a cure.
- Actively tried to evade Saddler's control when he attempted to make her kill Leon.
- Managed to find and reunite with Leon after being separated.
- Freed Leon from his cage.
- Fought against Saddler’s control, preventing him from using her against Leon.
- Managed to survive and navigate through the dangerous Armadura lair.
- Warned Leon about potential traps and dangers.
- Cooperated with Leon to find the lab for the emergency radiation therapy.
- Saved Leon from a FWTD by removing the Plaga from his body, which led Leon to defeat Saddler and save the world.
Admirable Standards
First off, Ashley has far, far less resources than any of the characters in this universe, she doesn't have anything at all+ she's not a trained fighter and she doesn't know how to use guns, she's just a normal girl, so it's not fair to compare her to Leon, Ada, or any other protagonist. Although Ashley played a very pivotal role in saving humanity from Saddler by saving Leon's life which led to the latter to defeat Saddler and save the world. She did what she could, she didn't hold back when she had the opportunity to help. Without Ashley's help, Saddler would've succeeded in taking over taking over the world and put it in FWTD by his Plaga domination.
Corrupting Factors
None.
- She attacked Leon when he first met her, but this moment is justified at best because Ashley had been kidnapped and held captive by a ''mysterious cult''. Her fear and stress levels would have been extremely high, causing her to react defensively to any sudden movements or unfamiliar people.
- Being in a hostile environment with no idea who to trust, Ashley would naturally be suspicious of anyone who approached her, including Leon. She couldn't immediately distinguish whether Leon was a friend or foe.
- Given her situation, Ashley's first instinct would be to protect herself. Attacking Leon could be seen as a preemptive measure to ensure her own safety until she could confirm his intentions.
- Given these factors, Ashley's attack on Leon when they first met can be seen as a natural and justified reaction to the extreme circumstances she was experiencing.
- No need to mention that the moment she attacked Leon with a knife is not her fault because she was controlled by the Plaga parasite, so it was not of her will. Also she tried her best to resist the infection especially that she came to her senses seconds later and was horrified by her action. Also Saddler controlled her through the parasite and made her aim a gun at Leon to shoot him but she tried her best not to kill Leon, killing one of the guards instead.

Verdict
Yes
