After meeting a lost unicorn named Izzy Moonbow, she and Sunny embarks on their quest to reunite all pony tribes and bring magic back to the world.
Who is she?
Izzy Moonbow is one of main characters in the fifth generation of My Little Pony franchise and a main deuteragonist of My Little Pony: A New Generation. She is an energetic and imaginative lavender unicorn pony who lives in Bridlewood Forest and Sunny's first non-Earth pony friend during their first encounter. She is also specializes in arts and crafts.
What she has done?
Izzy first appeared when she visits Maretime Bay and met Sunny there. Despite trying to act nice and polite towards the Earth ponies, they are very afraid of seeing her and causing a mass panic through town. When the traps are activated, Sunny and Izzy tried to evade these traps until the latter got trapped. After Sunny freeing Izzy from the trap, she brought her to lighthouse. After Izzy telling Sunny that unicorns have lost magic, they decide to embark on a quest to reunite all ponies together and bring magic and harmony back to Equestria.
When they got to the narrow rock valley, they met a white Pegasus pony. As the two royal guards approaches, the Pegasi flied away before they were captured by the guards. They were taken to the castle where they met Zephyr Heights royal family, Queen Haven, Pipp Petals, and Zipp Storm (the pony they just met before). When Sunny questioned Queen Haven about the magic, the queen sent them to the dungeon and confiscated her journal. However, Zipp released them and bring them to her secret hideout. Zipp tells that the Pegasi had lost their magic and the royal family only used wires to make them look like they were flying. Discovering that the crystals can brought back magic and harmony, they devised a plan to steal a crown from Queen Haven.
At the royal celebration, Zipp distracts her family while Sunny and Izzy switches Queen Haven's crown with fake ones. However, they were chased by Haven's pet pomeranian Cloudpuff which leading to exposed the royal family as the non-flying frauds. After Sunny, Izzy, Hitch, Pipp, and Zipp runs away from Zephyr Heights, Izzy chops down a tree to make a new bridge when they got across the collapsed bridge. Later during the campfire night, Izzy revealed that she received a letter from Sunny and her father when she was a filly, leading Hitch, Pipp, and Zipp joined in Sunny's quest to bring ponies back altogether to returned magic and harmony back to Equestria.
Arrived at Bridlewood, she helped her friends disguised as unicorns so they could avoid their suspicions. Izzy telling them that unicorns are extremely superstitious. When they got to Crystal Tea Room, Sunny challenged Alphabittle for the Unicorn Crystal with her friends rooting for her. After Sunny won the challenge, their disguises were exposed in front of the unicorns and they escaped from the place. As they were running away, they happened to run over Queen Haven, who recently escaped from prison to find her daughters. Encountered by unicorns, both pony races arguing each other before Sunny breaks up the fight and telling that nopony has magic. When Sunny and Izzy tried to unite two crystals together, but nothing happened. Feeling that her mission has been failed, her friends told her not to give up and they're in this together, but Sunny leave in despair.
Later that afternoon, Izzy, Pipp and Zipp went to Maretime Bay to stay friends with Sunny and Hitch despite Haven and Alphabittle pleading for them to return. When Sprout's machine arrived to terrorize everpony, Sunny, Izzy, and Pipp race to the lighthouse to put the crystals back together, but Sprout determinedly tried to prevent them from doing so. After Sprout accidentally destroyed the lighthouse, Sunny and Izzy succeedingly unite the crystals, but nothing happened like before. After the lighthouse were completely collapsed, Izzy and her friends were seen listening to Sunny's speech of urging the separated pony races to reunite together. However, their reunion led Sunny turning into an Alicorn pony, and magic and harmony was brought back to Equestria. With the three pony races back together and cleaning up Sprout's mess, Izzy and her friends celebrating over their accomplished missions.
My Little Pony franchise has a high admirable standard where most of the main characters were just doing an admirable heroic deeds throughout the series while the supporting characters are just helping the main ones. So let's compare with the other main characters of G5 first:
- Sunny Starscout: Unlike her fellow Earth ponies who lived in fear of two pony races under paranoia and prejucide, she is the only one who believed that the pony races will be getting along thanks to her father's teachings. Despite the multiple setbacks and being labeled as outcast, she never gave up on her dreams and doesn't showed any resentment towards her. She even freeing Izzy from her trap despite ignoring Hitch's warning. Her only goodness zone is that she urged the separated pony races to be friends together, which makes her qualified as one in the first place.
- Hitch Trailblazer: Despite being tasked to protect his hometown from any danger and harm as a sheriff, his prejudice towards the other pony races can get in the way of his friendship with Sunny and has no qualms of arresting her for her disobedience. When Izzy comes to Maretime Bay and traveling with Sunny to reunite the pony tribes, he almost considered himself as an antagonist because of this, which he was under the "False Antagonist" type as result. Due to being popular with the Earth ponies, he is shown to be arrogant and overconfident. Even despite accepting Sunny's wish and joined in of helping her reunite the pony tribes, he still wasn't qualified enough to become PG.
- Pipp Petals: Due to being a celebrity star, she can be arrogant over this as result. Like Izzy, she was also curious to the point of revealing Sunny and Izzy's presence to the public, showing she has no fear of other pony races unlike her mother. After her royal family was exposed as a non-flying frauds, she blamed on her sister Zipp at first before she understands why they needed the crystal. Though she did nothing during Sunny and Izzy's time at the Zephyr Heights, she eventually joined in with Sunny's quest of reunite the pony tribes together and bring back magic and harmony on Equestria.
- Zipp Storm: Zipp was very rebellious as she was rather doing athletic stuff like parkour rather than her royal lineage and responsibilities, showing to have a jerkish behavior to qualify. Like Sunny, she wanted magic to be brought back to Equestria so that the Pegasi can fly again. Though she was willing to defy her mother to help Sunny, she only does this to help her reunite the pony tribes together and bring magic and harmony back on Equestria. Despite her strained relationship with her mother, she still cares for her. She is also being snarky and sarcastic either.
Izzy, on the other hand, is the one who could passed the standard alongside Sunny. After meeting Sunny, she decided to joined in her quest to find the crystals to reunite the pony races back together and bring magic and harmony back to Equestria. She also helped her friends disguised as unicorns to avoid any suspicions from the unicorns. During the final battle, she helped Sunny unite the crystals back together. Despite her curiosity and dimwitness, she still doing the right thing and helped Sunny throughout the movie.
Even though she was curious and naive especially her first debut, she still understand what is right or wrong and aware of what was happening. This also shows that she has a full Moral Agency.
When she was visited Maretime Bay, she never intended to scare the Earth ponies away since she tried to greet them politely while the others showed their fear of her because she was a unicorn.
Though she helped Sunny stealing Pegasus Crystal from Queen Haven and exploit Alphabittle by challenging him for the Unicorn Crystal, she only does this to help her bring back ponies altogether and returned magic and harmony to Equestria.
Overall, she has no genuine corrupting factors.
I think she's a yes. Anyone else.
