After watching this Anime I decided to try and propose one of it’s main characters for Pure Good.
Heads up the themes of Anime is a game made for mother and child bonding so expect the word mother used a bajillion times lol.
What's The Work?
Do You Love Your Mom and Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks? is a Light Novel, Manga and Anime series that feature a son and his mother going on adventures throughout a game world in a VR Game.
Who Is She?
Mamako Oosuki is the mother of Masato Oosuki and titular heroine who would be pulled into a video game where two bond and spend time together.
What Has She Done?
While they may seem like acts of kindness on paper but those acts of kindness ironically have a bigger effect than other works as I will get into here.
She kindly accept Porta in her and her son Masato’s party who only merchant class who was harshly rejected by other parties rejected her for lack of combat
Although she was upset at Wise at first for suddenly teleporting away with Masato, she soon sympathyized when she learned Wise has a restrained relationship with her own mother allowing her into the party.
She through her kindness would manage to convince one of her party members Wise to try and rekindle with her villainous mother Empress of Night who was kidnapping and seducing men of a entire town. She would also play a supporting role in battle against the Empress of the Night in protecting her allies.
She was able to redeem Medhimama who was abusive towards her daughter Medhi and cheated in many events in game school events where Mamako even stepped in stopping one of those abusive scoldings but was only due to her staff cursed to bring out her worst qualities out where Mamako was able to free her from cursed staff’s influence regaining her senses where it would allow Medhimama to make up with Medhi after she was calmed down after Medhi transformed herself into a dragon from being pushed into her breaking point.
When 3 assassins tried to target their guild with threatening everyone with bombs she and her party work in, she was able to redeem them through her kindhearted behavior being able to make them rekindle their mothers.
When the main antagonist Amante had manipulated a group of players to help her cause through their grudges and strained relationships with their mothers, Mamako would would help the mothers of said players allowing them to help out and happily encouraging them. When Amante‘s underlings turned against her, she former minions be forcefully be turned into monsters to fight Mamako, her party and a group. Mamako using one of her passive skills to give her fellow mothers armor allowing them to be protected and this would allow them turn the monsterous players back into humans.
She would attempt to redeem the main antagonist Amante through her kindness while it failed due to her rejecting it, Mamako still hoped there is good in her before being forced to fight her to protect her party members where she was able to temporally defeat her non-lethally. And Amante wanted to get a wish granting object in a tower to erase all mothers from existence out of literal distasteful spite.
Other minor acts include encouraging the group during group's time in Lover's Lane Academy in helping others in classes or starting cafe in a festival event for the NPCS to eat, being a good mother to her son Masato and kind to Porta, Wise and Medhi with being a cook and care taker to them which yeah are tamed but still worth noting here.
Admirable Standards?
She and her son Masato (who himself can't qualify since he has a few corrupting factors) pretty much set up the admirable standards of the Anime who would be responsible for other party members like Porta, Wise and Medai meaning comparisons not needed given she and her son sets up the standards of the series.
The admirable standards are super low even then since it is a slice-of-life Anime comedy where heroics are far in-between here other characters like Wise who played a supporting role in against the Express of Night who seduced and kidnapped men and providing support to the team through her magic and such that was a contribution or time she helped in a cooking group activity during the group’s time in Lover's Lane Academy, help running a guild HQ as a maid, shopping for supplies at a store for example here.
There is also own son Masato who also had supporting roles alongside her, calming down a berserk Medhi who turned herself into dragon when Medhimama pushed Medhi into her breaking point and encouraging Wise in battle against Express of Night, and rejecting Amante‘a offer to join her cause.
Porta who was able to provide proper item storage for everyone else providing healing, revival potions to others or the times she gave Wise MP potions to recover her Mana to cast her spells on two instances.
Medhi really doesn't do much due to joining the cast late in the Anime did mostly supportive help with setting up a guild HQ as a maid, shopping for supplies at a store and supporting the party members through assisting against Amante.
While Masumi Shirase who has more resources fails the individual capability due to being gamemaster yet rely on the main characters to do her deeds of keeping the game safe from cheaters with only giving out info on various enemies or sometimes giving items to the main group.
Possible Preventing Factors?
She is overall kind hearted person and individual who despite her low intelligence isn’t incompetent in the slightest and pretty much learn from her mistakes right away as it is mainly do to not being familiar with video game or modern dat terms given the Anime takes place inside a game like world so it is excusable here. Besides she would learn a bit over the course of the Anime on familiarizing on it. And anything close to it is due to boss monsters doing like applying slippery effects like the slime monster boss for example or outside game hazards effects like the Express of the Night changing the environment through in-game hacks as Mamako surprisingly excels well in combat without tripping, falling, or being clumsy on her own despite her low intelligence so she isn't incompetent in slightest.
Although she was tricked by one of the villains that a bomb resembling a crystal was it was only due to them being way smarter than her before realizing her mistake plus she was able to disarm it with her powers so it waa a misguided moment at best.
Anything close to corrupting factors is Heating-Up Periods like times she can reach her limits as there was one time she got annoyed at Wise when they first met getting on the wrong foot but once she got to know her she sympathize with her and subvert any dislike to her where the two got along later on where as above help Wise rekindle with her mother late on.
So over all no corrupting factors only amounting to Heating-Up Periods and despite her low intelligence they never cross into incompetent level even if there were close calls here however.
Verdict
A easy keeper yes to this Knight beauty.
