Who is she
Aubrey Bradimore is the main protagonist of the 2012 slasher film Silent Night. She is a police officer who eventually ends up chasing after a serial killer named Ronald Jones Jr.
She is portrayed by Jamie King
Whats the work
Silent Night is a loose remake of the 1984 film Silent Night Deadly Night and the 6th film in the franchise. It centers around a midwestern town as they are terrorized by a man in a Santa suit
What Makes Her Pure Good
- Agreed to take Deputy Jordan’s place when he went missing
- Despite being shaken and disturbed by seeing Deputy Jordan’s corpse, she still chose to continue helping Sheriff cooper investigate, even when he offered her the chance to go back home.
- Discovered a camera left at the scene where Ronald Jones Jr. slaughtered the porn staff which recorded it, revealing he was wearing a Santa suit
- She was the first one who was suspicious of whether or not Jim Epstein and Stein Karsson were really the killers.
- Warned her father to be careful and not go to the Christmas parade
- Upon noticing a gift box containing a piece of coal at the place Karsson was at, and remembering how the police station and her father had received the same thing, she went to the latter in order to save them from Ronald. While arriving there, she warned Sheriff Cooper about it.
- Temporarily managed to defeat Ronald Jones Jr. using his own flame thrower and saved Brenda
Admirable Standard
She is easily the most competent and admirable police officer in the movie and is the one who came closest to actually killing Ronald Jones Jr. and was the one who found all the clues. Since the film is a remake, it has no connection to the past five films so she doesn’t have to be compared to the protagonists of those movies.
While her dad did put down Ronald Jones Sr. who killed his wife with his flamethrower, he wasn’t nearly as heinous as his son who slaughtered over a dozen people throughout the film
Mitagating Factors
None. While she did kill Stein Karsson, it was in self defense since he was about to shoot her. Plus, she was trying to arrest him, it was only when he pulled a gun on her (a near few away from her) that she shot him. But even then, when she actually did it she immediately started shedding tears and reacted with shock, implying she didnt like having to shoot him. Similarly, while she did use RJJ’s flame thrower, it was similarly in self defense since he was trying to kill her. Additionally, given how dangerous he was and how many people he had killed (including her father and several members of the police staff), it was also her attempt at stopping him from slaughtering more innocent people.
Besides this, she is portrayed as selfless police officer who cares for her town and wants to protect everyone, even breaking down in a phone call with her father and admitting she felt she was not cut out to be a police officer when she nearly got killed by Karsson before her father reassured her she was.
Final Verdict
I’ll give her a yes but you guys decide.
