Heroes Wiki

Hiya there! I am pretty sure that this is a character mostly no one here will have knoweldge of (never went overseas, and even in my country it isn't that well know) but I'll try my best to explain it all!

What's the Work?

The Graphic MSP is a project by Mauricio de Sousa Productions to have many different artists recreate their characters and subfranchises within their own universes, making their characters, be them fom Monica's Gang or many of the different, "sub-gangs" that derived from it, in varied artstyles, characterizations and story tones.

Bug-a-Boo: Life, and its sequel, Home, are pthe Graphic MSPs to talk about Bug-a-Boo's gang, a group of friendly pop culture monsters and scary creatures who live in a cemetery. They deal with the disappearance of Bug a Boo's love interest in its first entry, and with the gang helping out Lady McDeath, the Grim Reaper herself, solve paperwork at her home at the second. Life and Home (not readable, just to show they exist).

Who is him?

Frank is a major protagonist. A dumby but big hearted Frankenstein, he is the gang's muscle and heart at the same time, though he usually needs some help in the thinking department. He is a big helper in both the mission to find Sally Soul in the first book and helping Lady McDeath in her job in the sequel.

What does he do?

Frank is a nice guy who always want to help his friends and have fun with them. When Sally disses Bug-a-Boo, Frank is the only one not to mock him, and was the first to gladly go with him looking for Sally when she is noticed to have gone missing.

He aided multiple times in the journey: he found Mr. Crowley's ad, the first clue to getting where Sally was, destroyed a fence to allow corporeal members of the gang go through, used his super strenght to boat cross a river in seconds. When he found Wolfgang (in his human form) with a bear trap at his leg, he got it off, and was glad to interact with his friends, the Hill dwellers.

At Mr. Crowley's house, he feels sad as Crowley tells them a tragic story (which they don't know, but is Crowley's story) but when they get to the Soul Jar, despite not understanding the situation perfectly, he knows something is very wrong, and Moe spells out to him that they've got a big problem to solve. He only doesn't fight Crowley because he is too busy dealing with one of the powerful and chaotic Triplets, who he tries to befriend instead of defeat. He is happy at the end, both for Bug and Sally reconciling and kissing, and for Wolfgang entering their gang for good.

In the second novel, he starts by saving Wolfgang (who was nearly suffocating in smoke) who was trying to find survivors from a big fire that was caused by the Triplets at the "Hill", a kind of point for monster and supernatural creatures. Soon after, he is as happy as ever to help Lady McDeath with the trouble at her house. Said house being an (supposedly) abandoned building in the middle of the city. He brings most of the stuff with his strenght, and hangs out a bit with Little One before the dawn.

Next important scene with him is he meeting three boys who are part of a big group of homeless people who make Lady McDeath's abandoned building their new home. They close the door in fear of him, but, thinking they are in distress because of the door being locked, he rips the door out, saying "unlocked it" with a big smile. The boys' fear goes away when they share some chocolate with him, and Frank gleefully thanks them, showing he isn't an evil monster. Tikão, the leader, goes talk to his mother, Benita, about him, though she doesn't believe him at first.

Frank stays most of the novel hanging out with the kids, comparing scars with one of them (who went through multiple surgeries) and eating biscuits with them. When Wolfgang comes and tells him to go back to Lady McDeath's apartment, they come only to find a horrible truth: Moe, who was trying to help McDeath locate the Triplets, ended up evoking all the three little demons there, and now they are setting fire to the apartment. As Wolfgang and the gang go down, they encounter Benita and her kids. Though she is very scared and wary of them (Wolfgang had met her earlier, as human), Frank and Tikão help her trust them again. As the gang go to the lowest section of the building, where a lot of the other people at that homeless community were trying to flee, it turns out the passage is blocked. However, with some help from Moe, Frank punches the wall down, allowing everyone who was trapped in that smoke filling building to escape alive.

Corrupting Qualities?

He has absolutely none. He is simply kind with everyone. When the Triplets attack him and the gang and one of them bites him down in the arm, his reaction, not feeling pain, is to smile at him and ask of he wants to be his friend. When Moe screams at him, he doesn't even react with anger, still helps him off the boat, and when Moe apologizes for screaming, he smiles softly, clearly happy.

The only argument that can be made is that he is imcompetent, which isn't really true. While naive, he clearly helps the gang all the way through, doesn't create problems due to his low mental ability and the only moment that can be interpreted as such is him, right at the start of the first book, stepping into a grave, making the ghost in there angry. A minor accident, all things considered.

Admirable Standarts?

Frank Smash

"Frank... SMASH!", no wonder for guessing the reference everybody.

The standarts aren't super high, but are not exactly low, since all of the characters help each other and save some lives across the story, as well as defeating the few villains present, who are: the embodiments of chaos who constantly endanger people, and an evil old man who put many in a fate worse than death. Frank doesn't fail though, due to being pivotal in freeing everybody from the burning buildng at the climax of the second book, saving at the very least tens of lives, argubly the most admirable action of the duology, as well as helping his friends through multiple points in the quest for Sally Soul.

Veredict?

This jolly green man (creature?) is deserving of a yes.
