This was absolutely heart-breaking, seeing him try to beg for our help while also trying to warn us in his last moments is just so sad.

AHN AHM, JOHR DUN!
~ Well said.

Hello! Welcome to my seventh proposal. So, following my recent Pure Evil proposal for Wooly the Sheep, I've decided to propose the rat who surprisingly acted similar to how Wooly himself acted during the first two games, warning us about a larger threat who wants to kill us, although this time, Chicken Scratch was actually telling the truth and not manipulating us.

Anyways, Amanda the Adventurer 3 recently released, the finale of the trilogy, and dang it was pretty good, Chicken Scratch easily became my favorite during it, and I never really expected the guy to have Pure Good potential considering how he acted in the second game, being annoying towards Amanda and Wooly and stealing their things, it's definitely not as shocking as Wooly being Pure Evil, but still, pretty shocking.

Anyways, our candidate is the goat Chicken Scratch, let's begin the proposal!

What's The Work?

Amanda the Adventurer is a puzzle horror video game trilogy developed by MANGLEDmaw Games. It follows a player called Riley Park who has to uncover the mysteries of the corrupt company Hameln as they watch old tapes of the popular television show, Amanda the Adventurer.

Who Is He? What Has He Done?

Chicken Scratch is the tritagonist of the trilogy.

Before becoming Chicken Scratch, he was once a human named Jordan Cook, the brother of Joanne Cook. He was also a fan of Amanda the Adventurer, one day he went missing without a trace, though was actually sent to the Hameln Entertainment factory with seven other children. There, he was examined then placed into a stasis chamber which played him in the cartoon world as an unnamed possum character (though he would later be named Chicken Scratch by Amanda).

In the second game, he makes his first appearance under Amanda's couch, he later jumps out and eats one of her coins. He would continue to annoy both Amanda and Wooly throughout the game, randomly attacking them and stealing then eating things that belonged to them. He even once ripped Wooly's eye out. In the final tape he appears in, after hearing Joanne's voice, he jumps to the screen, and tries to call out for her, only to be assaulted by Amanda and Wooly who would then place his stunned body in a dumpster.

In the third game, he would reappear, although, Amanda would sympathize with him instead of being annoyed by him, though Wooly would still be annoyed by his presence, this time, he appears as more of a main character in the tapes rather then an antagonistic nuisance. It's later revealed that he is infact Jordan Cook and one of the eight missing children. He tries to warn us and Amanda about Wooly's true nature, though was killed by Wooly along with the rest of the missing children, his efforts would not go in vain though, as it would help us and Amanda figure out who Wooly really is.

Admirable Standards

Barely passes. Amanda the Adventure's admirable standards are pretty average, so let's go through his competition:

We have Kate Park, Riley's aunt, Kate is someone who I think could actually be Pure Good, and they certainly are admirable as they tried their very best to uncover the mysteries of Hameln and save Rebecca, being one of the main people to do that. Sam Colton, who is an amazing person who wants to entertain children, and tried to save her daughter Rebecca from Hameln. Joanne Cook, who helped Riley survive and tried to destroy the tapes in order to free her brother. Rebecca Colton, who after being freed destroyed the tape, thus freeing many trapped souls. Riley Park, who freed Rebecca from her fate worse than death. And the other members of the team that wanted to stop Hameln, who well, tried to stop Hameln and save Rebecca.

Now let's see what he actually does to pass the admirable standards and stand out, let's go through his heroic deeds, for starters, in the second game, he had constantly tried to get Riley's attention so they could help him and the other missing children by freeing them, in the third game, he tried to warn Amanda and Riley about Wooly's true nature the entire time, constantly trying to get their attention pretty much the whole time, and trying to help Amanda escape from the cartoon world. Ultimately, he tragically dies trying to do this after Wooly destroyed all of the missing children's stasis pods. I think constantly warning us and Amanda about Wooly's evil nature and trying to defeat the latter several times (as he ripped his eye out and tried to attack him) is enough to pass the baseline.

Now, you could argue that they fail it as some people have done more admirable things, but he lacks resources, he's a possum who can't speak limited to a cartoon world, characters like say Riley Park, have access to the real world and can actually speak, and even to those limited to the cartoon world, Amanda herself for an example, still has special abilities and powers, such as levitation and things, Chicken Scratch barely has any resources, probably the least of all the characters, with practically no resources whatsoever, and thus stands out in my opinion.

Milgating Factors?

Although he acted as an antagonist who stole several things from Amanda and Wooly and was pretty mischievous, I don't think this holds up as a prevention as not only is it likely that this was because he simply needed food because he ate the things he had stole from Amanda and Wooly, but it's pretty much subverted by the third game as he stops stealing things from the both of them and grows to genuinely care for Amanda and want to save her from Wooly.

While he does seemingly have moral agency issues as seen in Amanda the Adventurer 2, as he constantly acts like a feral possum, this is pretty much subverted by the third game once again as it clearly shows that he definitely has a mind and knows exactly what he's doing, he also keeps trying to save Amanda and Riley from Wooly, the only reason he mostly seemed feral and insane was because of he can't really speak anymore and due to this makes weird sounds to try to speak.

He did mutilate Wooly by ripping his eye out brutally which was extremely painful for the latter, but considering Chicken Scratch knows of Wooly's true intentions, it's very likely he was just trying to defeat Wooly rather then doing it out of actual malice.

Final Verdict?

Weak yes to the goat of Amanda the Adventurer 3.
