As short as this story is, it's a really great Spider-Man Story, and before I propose Yu himself, I would like to give yet another PG Peter Parker variant.
What's the Work?
Spider-Man: Fake Red is a manga written by Oosawa Yuusuke based on the popular Marvel Comics character of the same name.
Who is he?
Peter Parker, better known as Spider-Man, is the overarching protagonist of the story. He is the well known protector of New York and Silk's partner, who temporarily gave up the mantle of Spider-Man and inspired a teenager named Yu Onomae to take the mantle and keep Spidey's impact on the city alive.
What has he done?
Like pretty much all his versions, Peter obtained powers from a radiaoctive spider bite and began using them for his own self gain, but after a series of events that led to his Uncle Ben's death, the guilt ridden Peter swore to use his powers responsibly and protect the people of New York.
Prior to the story, Peter has been operating as Spider-Man for a number of years and has protected the city from several villains, thieves, criminals, and basically every possible threat, inspiring hundreds of New Yorkers. He also worked alongside Silk several times in the past and served as motivation for her. However, Peter would eventually realize how much of a strain his superhero life had been taking on his personal life, and in a moment of weakness, chose to throw away his costume and stop being Spider-Man. The costume would be found by a high school student named Yu Onomae, who inspired by Spidey's work, would become the new Spider-Man to keep the city safe.
Eventually however, Peter wound up being captured by Mysterio and forcefully bonded to Venom which sent him on a destructive rampage against his will. Peter fought against the Symbiote's control for days before it finally took full control of his body. Yu eventually fought Venom and throughout the fight, Peter was able to ressist and stop the Symbiote from killing Yu. However, after Yu gave Peter Spider-Man's mask and helped him remember who he truly was, he managed to break free of the Symbiote and gain full control over it, acquiring the Symbiote suit. Peter and Yu then teamed up to take on Mysterio and his illusions of the Sinister Six, with Peter finally letting go of his doubts and working to protect Yu as well as take down Mysterio, using the city to his advantage to break his helmet and dispell his illusions. Then, when Mysterio used one final illusion to pose as Spidey and try to shoot Yu, Peter stopped him by using the Symbiote and telling him it's over. He then got Yu out of the paparazzi and the public, to where the two had a heartfelt talk over the suit and it's responsibilities where Peter expressed his self-doubt over his career as a hero and thanked Yu for all the good he's done, saying he was glad it was him who found the suit.
Shortly afterwards, Peter retook the mantle of Spider-Man and continued to work with Silk to protect the city, as well as keeping a close watch on Yu and checking in on him.
Corrupting Qualities?
Well much like most versions of Spider-Man, he does have the accident of letting a robber escape and accidentally leading to his uncle's death, however just like every other version of Spidey, this point is rendered moot since it was unintentional and he's reformed himself completely by dedicating himself to save as many as possible. Also while he did give up on Spidey and throw away his suit, this was a moment of weakness more than anything, as after breaking free from Venom and being reminded of who he is, he retakes the mantle of Spider-Man and keeps protecting the city.
Admirable Standard?
Peter stands put fairly easy, especially since the only other known heroes in the story are Yu and Silk. Despite most of his work protecting the city as Spider-Man having been off-page, it's easy to see how much of an impact he's had, serving as the catalyst of the story due to how much of an inspiration he was for Yu, to the point he took up the mantle of Spider-Man to keep the inspiration Spidey gives to the city alive despite not having any powers like Peter did.
Final Verdict
Yes for yet another friendly neighborhood Spidey
