Yeah, it's the seventeenth in my area by the time I made this, so yeah, three day cooling period is over. Now time to propose an easy candidate for Pure Good.
What's The Work?
Inanimate Insanity is an indie web series based on Battle for Dream Island about objects competing in challenges to win a million dollars. The show started off as lighthearted from Season 1-2a, gained a more serious tone starting from Kick the Bucket, became more lighthearted again with Inanimate Insanity Invitational, and became more serious than ever with Truth or Flare and the II2 finale.
Who Is He And What Has He Done?
MePad is one of the two deuteragonists of Inanimate Insanity II, along with Knife. He co-hosts the second season of the show with MePhone4 after being saved by him from Cobs.
Throughout the series, starting from Kick the Bucket, he showed kindness and concern towards the contestants of Inanimate Insanity. He showed concern for the fact that they were only trying to please each other, but not themselves. He also let Marshmallow leave Inanimate Insanity, even though that wasn't what she was meant to do.
In Truth or Flare, he helps Taco apologize to Pickle and Microphone and face her fears of seeing them. He quit his job as a co-host of II2 after having had enough of MePhone4 being selfish and all of the drama he caused with his show.
In the II2 Movie, MePad helped save the contestants from MePhoneX. He was reluctant to work with MePhone4 at first, but he agreed to help him after he said that he shouldn't be saving the contestants for his sake, but for the sake of the contestants. MePad teleported the contestants away from Hotel OJ in the second act when he realizes it wasn't safe anymore. In the third act, he does his most admirable act. After helping MePhone defeat Cobs, he sacrifices himself by teleporting in front of MePhone to save him and the contestants.
Admirable Standards?
There may be a debate that he didn't know the contestants were inside MePhone4 when he sacrificed himself to save him from Cobs' knife. However, in the scene where he dies, when MePhone asked him that he shouldn't have died for him, MePad replies with "I... didn't...", which implies he did know the contestants were there and that he sacrificed himself for them. Besides, he was still willing to save the remaining contestants in Hotel OJ from MePhoneX by teleporting them to the haunted mansion, thus helping them come up with a plan to save Suitcase and Knife. Anyways, with all that said, MePad passes the admirable standards of the series by helping the contestants out with their personal problems and sacrificing his life for them by protecting MePhone and the contestants (and Spoiled Lemon and the Unvitational Committee, since they were also shown to be inside MePhone) from Cobs' knife. He was one of the main reasons MePhone was able to resurrect the contestants, thus bring the real egg inside of him back to the Shimmers, and defeat Cobs (through Suitcase's use of the Pic-Nix Table to generate an egg bomb that killed Cobs).
Mitigating Factors?
Sure, MePad was quite sarcastic, snarky, and sometimes even jerkish during his first few appearances, but subverts this corrupting factor and becomes more concerned for the mental well being of the other contestants by the time of Kick the Bucket and stops being a sarcastic jerk from that point on. There's also his initial reluctance working with MePhone4 to save everyone from Cobs. However, that's obviously subverted by the second act of the II2 Movie, Through No Choice Of Your Own and especially Objects At Mirror, the final act of the finale movie of the second season. In conclusion, it's safe to say that MePad subverted all of his corrupting factors.
Final Verdict
Yeah, this is a short proposal, but I made all my points here clear. Easy yes. Next proposal is going to be a... particular orange "spoon", but I'll need to ask an admin to repropose him after it was confirmed that his PG Proposal was plagiarized.
