Either nobody cared or nobody here was a true fan of the show, but why did nobody repropose him pronto after he got removed from PG due to his proposal being plagiarized?
What's The Work?
Wander Over Yonder is a Disney Channel TV series created by Craig McCracken. It's about a space nomad named Wander and a Zbornak named Sylvia travelling through the galaxy to help planets in need.
Who Is He?
I already described him in "What's The Work?", but Wander is willing to help others out of a genuine desire to help due to knowing how it is to be helpless (as implied by the episode "The Wanders", where after Sylvia discovered Helpless Wander behind crystals, which implies that this was who he was before, Zen Wander says "The helper seeks to help others because he knows what it is to be helpless.", which means the true Wander knows this and without knowing what it's like to be helpless, Wander would still be a generic hero who fights the bad guys and uses violence against them). He constantly saves galaxies from villains who threaten them, usually by trying to understand and redeem them (usually, because Dr. Screwball Jones exists, and even then, I consider him more redeemable than the likes of Dominator or even Hater, because I think he's a genuine extremist, wanting to spread happiness across the galaxy, although in a more twisted way) and not by using violence against them (technically, for there are still some scenes where he knows what he's doing will harm the villains but at least he doesn't like to directly harm villains, as shown in The Greatest, the series' first episode and even the last episode of the series, where he was fine with Lord Hater destroying Dominator's ship, but those are understandable anyway).
Admirable Standards?
No problem for him. He's the most admirable character in the series, as he and Sylvia save galaxies from multiple threats and villains. He was also willing to help others even if it led to the near destruction of the Sun, because not only did he give up hope in helping others, but the theme of that episode (The Good Deed) was that you should keep trying to do good deeds, even if they keep going wrong, so that good deeds can end up in the right place. He saves a Sun in that episode, saves the Binglebops from Lord Hater's tyranny, protects a flower to rebuild the galaxy, even if he seemingly failed to do so until the episode after that (which happens to be the series finale) reveals that the flower's spores rebuilt the planets, saves a planet from being destroyed by Emperor Awesome in "The Party Animal", reforms Major Threat, who was once the most notorious villain in the universe, and more. Overall, Wander had influence on the lives of many, and as WickedBinge said, he is kind of the Mister Rogers of the galaxy. He also became famous among aliens.
Mitigating Factors?
As to be expected for a lot of Pure Goods who are the main protagonists of their works, Wander had a lot of these at one point. He abandoned Sylvia at one point to race against Trudi and visit more planets than Trudi to become the most traveled tourist in the universe. He gave up on helping others due to a fear that it may lead to worse consequences. He also had his head in the clouds at one point and didn't want to get out of the void out of his own self-interest. But all of these got subverted, because not only were all these from Season 1, but that doesn't even matter anyway, because he subverted these corrupting factors in the same episodes he showed them, clearly feeling remorse for these. And yeah, he may have acted a bit OOC in The Good Deed and The Boy Wander, but he wasn't lethal in any of these episodes.
But here's the biggest concern people may have with him being Pure Good. The Robomechabotatron, the antepenultimate episode of the show. Many claim that he was a massive hypocrite in this episode, because he keeps talking about teamwork, yet he abandons the leg and lets it fall apart out of his own beliefs. However, he still rejoiced after Dominator left them, because at least they distracted her long enough to let the Cluckons evacuate. I don't even think it's corrupting, even though he was shown using violence against Dr. Screwball Jones in "The Boy Wander", because it was Lord Hater who cut him off of the Robomechabotatron, and Wander still let him, Peepers, and Sylvia fight Dominator themselves. And like I said, they still saved the Cluckons by letting them evacuate the planet.
There's also The Showstopper, which was one I had a complain about, because he was being creepy, possessing Lord Hater's body, not caring that the bunnies were bored, and while I know now that's naivety more than anything, it could be argued that that's being a bit too dimwitted to make him look incompetent. The thing is the episode doesn't care about that and doesn't portray him as incompetent for not knowing that he was letting Lord Hater sing to win Dominator's heart and that the bunnies were bored. The romance arc had him by Hater's side the entire time out of a genuine desire to get him and Lord Dominator to become a couple out of the possibility that they won't hurt people anymore, so it was more just him trying to be a good friend to Hater, and I believe that the fact that he did this because he thought they wouldn't become evil anymore if they became a couple means that he was doing it for the greater good. Plus, he wasn't making the bunnies listen to Lord Hater nonstop intentionally either. And besides, even though he just exposes Lord Hater's flaws to Dominator to get her to love him, which may make him seem incompetent, this is subverted anyway because in the later episodes of Season 2, he isn't portrayed as being that incompetent anymore.
Overall, Wander had many mitigating factors, and I don't think I did the best I could with explaining why these preventions don't hold up anymore, but considering my NPG proposal for him had votes consisting entirely of abstains anyway, and that he was already approved as PG before the plagiarism rule got his proposal deleted, I think it's safe to say that he should still qualify for Pure Good, since he never does anything out of malicious intent and subverted the rest of his mitigating factors.
Final Verdict
A moderate yes to Wander. My next candidate is a bag who killed a businessman who happens to be her grandfather. You may try to guess who it is in the comments below. See you next time on... Hector's Pure Good Proposals! And by the way, that reference, if you can guess it, is a clue for the work this next candidate originates from. And I might as well do a double proposal for that series with a very... questionable candidate who was extremely questionable and shady throughout the series but redeems himself in the finale. He's also the father of the bag I mentioned and doesn't even show any jerkish behavior after his full redemption.
