Nice Girl ≠ Pure Good.

The second PG Removal Proposal, and this one is an interesting case to begin with. After doing some analysis regarding Miyuki Takara's PG approval, with some help from Koko Nigel and Bazilsiraj, it has come to my conclusion that all of Takara's admirable actions are considered to be generic heroism, as well as Lucky Star being a show that is not meant to be taken seriously, as well as it being played for laughs, which will be mentioned in this proposal.

Special thanks to Jester of chaos (Proof of Permission) for giving me permission to do this PG Removal proposal.

Without further ado, let's begin.

What's the Work?

Lucky Star is a 2007 comedy and slice-of-life anime series made by Kyoto Animation, which was adapted from the 2003 ongoing manga of the same name. It centres on Konata Izumi, Kagami Hiiragi, Tsukasa Hiiragi, and Miyuki Takara. It focuses on their daily lives, which mostly takes place in the city of Kasukabe within Saitama Prefecture, Japan, where it does not have a continuing plot.

Who is Miyuki?

Miyuki Takara is one of the four main characters of Lucky Star, alongside Konata Izumi, Kagami Hiiragi, and Tsukasa Hiiragi. Miyuki originates from an affluent household, who is notably intelligent, and well-mannered.

Why Miyuki does not Qualify?

In broader terms, the primary problem regarding Miyuki's approval as a Pure Good character is due to Lucky Star being a comedy and slice-of-life show that is played for laughs and not to be taken seriously, as it borders to pure innocence. Not to mention, the anime's primary plot point is focusing on the daily lives of Konata, Kagami, Tsukasa, and Miyuki, with no clear story in its own.

As for Miyuki, despite having no corrupting qualities (unlike Konata and Kagami), all of her actions are bog-standard and extremely generic heroism, which includes showing care towards Konata, Kagami and Tsukasa, helping the rest of her classmates out, and befriending Konata's cousin Yui Narumi in one of the anime's episodes. All of these mentioned admirable acts she did do not pass beyond the baseline standards of the show, as she did not do one action that would make her stand out as a PG character. Her admirable actions are standard within the series.

Easy cut.
