This is a PG Proposal for Kate Read from Arthur.
What is the work?[]
Arhur is an edutaiment show that focuses on the titular character and his family and friends as they solve various problems that real-life kids face in their lives.
Who is she?[]
Kate Read is the the youngest sister of the titular character and D.W. Read and the younger daughter of Jane and David Read.
What has she done?[]
Kate has the ability to talk to non-anthropomorphic animals such as Pal and other babies such as Mei Lin Barnes, both of whom she is friends with and has helped them with their problems in some episodes.
Goodness Zone/Corrupting Factors/Admirable Standards[]
Kate is definitely the nicest of all three Read kids, as D.W. is an extremely bratty child who loves messing with Arthur, and Arthur himself, while not as bad as D.W., has moments when he can do wrong things, whereas Kate hardly ever does anything wrong. She also is shown to care about her friends and family, even D.W. A possible disqualifying factor, while not a corrupting factor, is that she is only a baby, and thus it could be said that her personality is not yet developed enough to be considered Pure Good.
Moral Agency[]
Even though she is a baby, Kate is smarter than most people her age and is able to tell the difference between right and wrong.
Individual Capacity[]
As a baby, Kate's individual capacity is quite limited. Helping other babies and non-anthropomorphic animals is probably the best she can do.
Verdict[]
While I think her being the nicest Read kid qualifies her, it's also possible that she might be too young to be judged as Pure Good or not. What do you think?
