Rejected
MonsterKid

This is a Pure Good Proposal for Monster Kid from 2015 indie game Undertale.

Who is he?[]

Monster Kid is a reptilian, innocent monster kid who lives in Underground with the other monsters. He is a student and have parents. He loves Undyne and she is the idol of the Monster Kid. Also, he is very optimist.

What has he done?[]

  • Helps Frisk to pass through the wall in Waterfall, says him to climb on his shoulders and pass through the wall.
  • If Frisk saves him from fall, Monster Kid will defend him from Undyne.
  • When Undyne approaches silently to Frisk, Monster Kid will save him.
  • If Frisk ran away from Undyne when Monster Kid calls for help, Monster Kid will think the human ran away for get help from others, this shows he is a very optimistic kid.
  • In the True Pacifist Route, Monster Kid encourages and sides with Frisk to defeat the villain, Flowey.
  • In the Genocide Route, he still trusts the ruthless, murderer human, he thinks he can redeem himself maybe. And when the human approaches him silently, he shows his bravery and tries to stop the protagonist from his genocidal massacre.
  • Also, his idol is an another hero, Undyne, and the pure good, Papyrus (if Undyne doesn't save him first, Monster Kid will find himself Papyrus as a new idol).

Corrupting Factors[]

  • Monster Kid has not any corrupting factor. He always sides with the innocence and the heroes. It is seen in the Genocide Route when he is trying to stop the protagonist, despite he can not attack the protagonist.

Admirable Standards[]

  • Monster Kid is a weak monster, can not attack directly. However, he is very brave and opposes very powerful beings.
    • In Pacifist Route, he opposes Flowey and sides with Frisk to defeat Flowey.
    • In Genocide Route, he opposes the protagonist, despite he know the protagonist is a ruthless human.
    • Also, he opposes Undyne if the protagonist saves him and Undyne tries to catch them.

Final Verdict[]

I think Monster Kid is an easy candidate for Pure Good.
