A proposal for SCP-2295, the third SCP to be nominated for the Pure Good category.
What is the Work?[]
The SCP Mythos are a large set of stories about a controversial foundation known as the SCP Foundation. The Foundation has contained and/or studied various individuals, entities, objects, and events with supernatural properties in the effort to preserve the safety and stability of mankind.
Many of the SCPs (as these contained entities are commonly known as) are harmful in one way or another, and as such, a large portion of them are on Villains Wiki. However, several of them are actually helpful, and are here on Heroes Wiki. Some of the more heroic SCPs include SCP-208, SCP-999, and SCP-2295.
Who is it? What has it done?[]
SCP-2295 is the designation given to a patchwork teddy bear that with a small, heart-shaped pin on its chest.
In normal circumstances, the teddy bear remains inactive. But when a human being with major trauma to an organ comes within 2 meters of the bear, it will animate.It will then use a set of scissors, a needle, and a thread and use the tools to create a patchwork replica of the patient's damaged organ out of cloth, stuffing, and fabric available.
According to reports, the patchwork replica (dubbed SCP-2295-1) mysteriously vanishes and the patient will fall unconscious, SCP-2295 will then become inanimate afterwards. Upon awaking, the patient will no longer feel any sickening symptoms nor side effects from the "surgery", and are deemed completely cured.
Corrupting Factors[]
Being a toy, moral agency could be put into question. However, unlike Barney the Dinosaur, its goal seems more clearly understood, so it shouldn't be as serious or problematic.
Admirable Standard[]
While SCPs are generally villainous, SCP-2295 is a major exception. Like SCP-999 and SCP-208 (both of which were approved of PG), SCP-2295 cares about the well-being of humans and goes to great measures to protect them from an untimely death from injury.
SCP-2295 is willing to sacrifice part of its body to create a patchwork organ in order to cure its patients. Its cause is noble and while its feelings are minimal, it has proven itself to be nurturing and selfless.
It is also implied that SCP-2295 also puts the care of children very seriously, as when multiple patients are brought before it, it will always heal the youngest first.
Final Verdict[]
If SCP-999 and SCP-208 were nominated and succeeded in the process, I think SCP-2295 could do so as well.
