If you asked if i watched The Rescuers Down Under, yes i did watch it. So i decided to make a PG proposal of Cody (Rescuers Down Under).
Who is he?[]
Cody is a main tritagonist of Disney's 29th full-length animated feature film, The Rescuers Down Under, the sequel of 1977 film, The Rescuers. He is a 9-year-old Australian boy who rescued Marahute, the golden eagle from being tied up in the ropes with his pocket knife. He later gets abducted by an evil poacher Percival C. McLeach, who threatened him to reveal the whereabouts of Marahute. He is a male equivalent of Penny from the original film.
What he had done?[]
Cody first appeared when he got a call from Faloo to tell him that the Marahute is trapped in poacher's rope on the cliff. When they arrived on the cliff, Cody lets go off the Marahute from the ropes with pocket knife, but is accidentally knocked off by her wings. Luckily, Marahute saves him from the fall and she takes him on the nice flight. Then they arrive on Marahute's nest, he saw her eggs. When Cody asks where is their father, Marahute sadly lower her head, which Cody realizes that he died. Marahute gave Cody her feather as her gift for saving her. After Marahute returns Cody to the ground safely, he goes home on his own, unaware of the McLeach wanted poster.
When the Cody sees the mouse trap, he tried to get him loose until he was fall into one of the hunter's trap. However, McLeach and Joanna comes to found out that he was fall onto his trap. Cody tells McLeach that it's a trap and poaching is illegal. McLeach helps Cody up by lowering his gun, which he accepts. Joanna attacked him, which McLeach falls onto his trap. As Joanna kept attacking him, McLeach angrily gets out of his trap and aims at her. But, McLeach saw the golden feather on Cody's backpack. McLeach grabs Cody and asked him where did he get, Cody tells him that it's a present and a secret. But, McLeach has another golden feather that he got from the father, which he murdered. McLeach threatens Cody to tell him where the Marahute and her eggs are. Cody refuses and runs away, with McLeach ordering Joanna to chase him. Cody runs to the edge of the cliff where Crocodile Falls is and pulls out his pocket knife but he drops it. He attempts to pick it up but McLeach steps on his hand to drag him. Cody threatens McLeach that his mother will call the rangers, but McLeach mockingly pretends to be scared of the rangers, throws Cody's backpack in the water, and kidnapping him.
Luckily, the Baitmouse witnesses everything and calls the rangers for help. On the way to McLeach's lair, Cody angrily told McLeach to let him out. But, McLeach tell him to be quiet before he sings Home of the Range, but in twisted version. When they arrive on McLeach's lair, McLeach ties Cody up the chair and threatens to tell him where Marahute and the eggs are, but Cody refuses. This prompt McLeach to throw him off the cage before he leaves. Cody and the other animals tried to have a plan to escape, but Joanna intervenes it. Later, Frank managed to get himself out and got Cody out of the cage. Before Cody was about to freeing other animals, McLeach appears and drags him away from the animal cage room and tell him that Marahute has died.
As Cody runs to the nest where the eggs are, he was unaware that McLeach tricked him into capturing Marahute. When Cody arrives at the nest, he found out that the eggs are okay. Later, Bernard, Bianca, and their guide Jake warned him about McLeach, and Cody saw Marahute comes back. However, Cody notices that McLeach shoots his trap at Marahute and caught him. Cody tries to free the Marahute, but McLeach tries to shake him off. McLeach makes Joanna go off and eat the eggs, but Cody begs him not to as he unaware that Bernard saves the egg.
On the road, Cody yells to McLeach saying that he'll tell the rangers where McLeach is. But, Joanna starts to teases him until Cody pushes him off against the window and scares her. Bianca tells Cody not to lose hope because Bernard is still out there and he will rescue them. After McLeach arrives at the Crocodile Falls, he ties Cody into a crane to use him as a live bait to the crocodiles, letting him to be eaten by crocodiles as he is no longer use to him. As McLeach tries to push Cody into the water, the machine broke down. Since McLeach cannot find the keys, he then tries to shoot the rope to kill Cody. Before he can finish it, Joanna jumps on him, Bernard pushes them into the water, sencind McLeach over a waterfall to his death.
Cody falls onto the water. Bernard tries to rescue him, but luckily Marahute, Jake, and Bianca managed to rescue them. Cody hugs bernard and says "Thanks, li'l mate". After Bernard proposes to Bianca, Cody tells Marahute to get all home. They then all fly off into the moonlit night sky.
Corrupting Factors[]
Cody has no corrupting factors as he doesn't wanted to reveals the whereabouts of Marahute and her eggs and mocks off Joanna before he pushes her off of the window.
Admirable Standard[]
Unlike the evil poacher Percival C. McLeach, Cody does treated animals kindly, mostly Marahute. He doesn't hesitate to save animals from danger such as Marahute and her eggs from an evil poacher.
Final Verdict[]
I bet he should be approved.
