Kevin

This is the 4th Removal tonight in my country and in honesty, I've grown concern that this character isn't that near the PG status and even though it came from one of my most favorite Pixar movie, I'd have my doubts to know this is not the type of hero fit for the category.

Introducing the Topic of Today, Kevin (Up)

What's the Work?[]

Up is an 2009 Pixar animated film that had been praised and acclaimed to be one of the Best Pixar movies made by the studios for his incredible storywriting and sympathetic backgrounds that drove the audience to tears. This story focuces on an elderly man whom floats away with his house, using thousands of balloons to fulfill a promise he made with his late wife, but things backfire surprisingly as a young scout, a talking dog, and a rare anicent bird came across.

Who is She?[]

Kevin is a supporting protagonist in the 2009 Pixar film Up. She is the mother of her three babies and travels alongside Carl, Russell, and Dug on their adventure.

Why She Doesn't Qualify?[]

For starters, Kevin lacks of a Moral Agency, but if I am wrong she does seems to get along well with Russell but it doesn't justify the reasons behind on what's really going on in her mind. Despite wanting to go back to her children, it's just a normal parent protecting-like goal instead of a real heroic goal, but in my opinion to be correct, it's now a corrupting factor.

However, the real corrupting factor is when she attacks Dug after he encounters them and would often eat one of Carl's balls from his cane, I even remembered a funny scene where Kevin mocks Carl by imitating him.

Final Verdict[]

Kevin's role is just played as a "damsel in distress" type and doesn't do much heroics in the film despite keeping Russell safe when Muntz attempts to kill them. But if I were to judge this, I'm basically saying No. Not PG in my viewing.
