Tweety Bird.
This is my third PG removal proposal. This time, it’s on Tweety Bird from Looney Tunes.
Who is Tweety Bird?[]
Most people already know but just in case you don’t, Tweety Bird is a canary who appears in Looney Tunes and was first introduced in 1942. He is well-known for being the archenemy of Sylvester.
Why doesn’t Tweety Bird qualify?[]
For the same basic reasons as to why characters like Jerry the Mouse and Bugs Bunny don’t qualify. Although Sylvester tries to get him eaten, he often is very in his face about it. For example, whenever he says “Poor old putty tat”, you can kind of tell by the tone of his voice that it’s rather faux sympathetic rather than genuinely sympathetic. He also likes seeing Sylvester get in trouble because he thinks it’s funny in a way borderline similar to how Daffy Duck is with Porky Pig. Just like Bugs Bunny and Jerry the Mouse, he is sometimes (though not always) the mischievous perpetrator.
Final Verdict[]
I think that Tweety Bird should be cut from the Pure Good category.
