Up until now, I decided to take a break from making Pure Good Proposals, mainly to focus on other things. After I learned my lesson from my first proposal a while back, I figured to propose my own hero that not only lacks corrupting factors, but has also done acts of heroism. The topic for this proposal is Princess Peach’s paper counterpart. Anyways, enough said. Let’s get started.
What's The Work[]
The Paper Mario series is a series of games in the RPG genre and one of the most popular spin-offs of the mainstream Mario series. The series is implied to take place in a separate universe from the mainstream series, as it was confirmed in Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam. Its boss battles take on a turn base format like most RPG tiles; which means the playable party goes, and after everyone in the playable cast has gone, the enemies go next. The games often revolve around Paper Mario being pitted against Paper Bowser, or another main antagonist. Paper Mario gets help from party members called Partners, including Paper Peach in the third installment.
Who is She/What Has She Done?[]
As you can tell by her name Paper Princess Peach is a paper version of the standard Princess Peach. The two versions are completely separate characters, as confirmed in Paper Jam, but are fundamentally the same. Like her original counterpart, she is the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom and considered Mario’s girlfriend by the Fandom. She gets kidnapped by Paper Bowser and other main antagonists, a trait she shares with her main series counterpart. Although Paper Peach is a damsel in distress most of the time, she has a more active role in some of the games. She has earned her wings as a valuable member of Mario’s party and contributed to saving the multiverse in the third installment of the series.
Corrupting Factors[]
She doesn’t have any corrupting factors, but she was possessed by the Shadow Queen. In the most recent installment (Spoiler alert for some), she was turned into a folded soldier by the main antagonist King Olly, but this was her merely being brainwashed. Being brainwashed twice shouldn’t stop her from qualifying, as Pure Good heroes never willingly corrupt themselves.
Admirable Standard[]
Her admirable standard was at its peak in Super Paper Mario. She strongly contributed to saving the multiverse from Dimentio alongside Paper Mario, Paper Luigi, and Paper Bowser. She was the one who talked Paper Bowser into joining their group, even letting him team up with them. After she defeats Mimi in their one on one battle, Mimi almost fell into a hole as the room they are in begins to crumble, but Peach, showing that she’s as pure as she can be, chooses to save her. In the games where she was kidnapped, she would explore the place she was held captive in and send useful information and items to Mario that would help him and his party on their journey. She retains much of her mainstream version’s traits in the series, being as admirable as the original Peach. Final Verdict[]
She’s admirable as the original Peach and stands out compared her mainstream version. I say she’s qualified and fit for the category. Tell me what you guys think.
