Mesektet Resignation

This is to announce my resignation. When I first came to Heroes Wiki it was little more than a dumping ground for articles about heroes put on Villain's wiki that the admins did not want to delete but could not tolerate leaving there. Numerous copied content from other wikis, tiny articles made up of the names of characters, a photo and nothing more - sometimes not even that. After a time trying to straighten-up the place for the admins I was appointed as an admin by Queen of Misery - the Bureaucrat for the site. Even the original founder of the site was barely active and, frankly, part of the problem, leaving Queen of Misery to oversee legitimate work. Queen of Misery had not had much time to work on articles between clean-up and her dark deeds on Villains wiki, so she left me to work. I tried to bring Heroes wiki up to standards, but as I was never explained admin tool's I never learned how to delete entire categories from all pages it was on; As a result I would go open a category and then go to every single page and delete every single page in the category, giving each a reason. So many badly made categories, from colors, to duplicates of with no uppercase letters. Anyway, after about a year of this Queen of Misery could devote no more time to the site, apparently I must have been doing okay, despite my lack of knowledge on admin tools because she offered me the position. I was honored, I tried my best but I soon found being an admin means almost all your time is devoted to clean-up, especially on what Heroes Wiki was and becoming a Bureaucrat only re-enforced that, with an addition of arbitration. It is now nearly a decade later and I am sorry to say, at least as I write this, I have much, much less time to tend to my duties. I check in every day at least to resolve disputes but I almost never have time to do a full category purge or even write an article. The Wiki deserves better than that. A month ago another admin who has been putting a lot of work in, asked if he could be given the position of bureaucrat, and that seemed the time to pass on the position. Ironically that admin is not who I am passing it too. I decided to let things be decided democratically, and the requester was one vote short. However the top voted admin is still a well versed admin and will surely make a good replacement for me. He is an admin on Villains' Wiki, so he should promote harmony between the two sites. So I pass my title onto Jester of Chaos. I have been adviced to keep my rank and just add to his. However Bureaucrat is a position meant to over-see others. If whoever I assign can not over-see me, it undermines the position entirely. Thus I not only assign Jester of Chaos as the new Bureaucrat, but step down myself. May he do a better job than I did, as all inheritors of positions should. I will still be an admin for now, but it may be some time before I can once again devote my time properly to the site, I shall retire entirely when even daily check ins are no longer possible. I always wanted to prevent Heroes' Wiki from decending into chaos. And Now I give it to Chaos, heh, stupid irony.
