Usopp, known as Sogeking and "God" Usopp, is one of the main characters of the One Piece franchise. He serves as the sniper of the Straw Hat Pirates, and the former Captain of the Usopp Pirates. He is the son of Yasopp (the sniper of the Red Haired Pirates).
When Usopp was first introduced, he was often (comically) labeled as the "Liar" of the Straw Hat Pirates, due to the "Uso" (うそ) in his name meaning "lie" or "falsehood". He was born in Syrup Village, and was first mentioned by Yasopp, his father. He was officially the third (unofficially fourth) member of the crew, and the third to join, and including Nami and Robin, also the third to rejoin, doing so at the end of the Post-Enies Lobby Arc. His bounty was 30,000,000 Berries credited to his alias and alter-ego "Sogeking". His second bounty was 200,000,000 after he defeated Sugar to reveal the toys origins and his face is now revealed. His current bounty worth 500,000,000 berries. He is considered one of the "weak" trio of the crew, along with Nami and Chopper.
He is voiced by Kappei Yamaguchi in the Japanese version of the anime, and by Jason Griffith, Chuck Powers, and Jaime Meldrum Sonny Strait in the English version of the anime.
Abilities & Powers[]
As a sniper, Usopp can use his sling shot for long range attacks. He has great accuracy in sniping.
After two years of training, he has upgraded his artillery such as fires bombs and new bullet pop green. He has gained better physical strength and endurance during his training, as he can now run even faster than before and withstand greater pain. He can also fire Seastone cuffs to devil fruit users including a logia user such as Caesar Clown.
Usopp is skillful of lying and deception, and has the ability to turn enemies into allies, he convinced the two giants that their boss alive and had been deceived by the World Government. He lied to the Dwarves think he is a descendant of Mont Blanc Noland then won them back with sheer charisma and determination.
He defeated Sugar with the scary face caused her to have fears for long noses and things. He subconsciously awakens Kenbunshoku Haki to send presences of people and animal but he hasn’t fully mastered it yet.
Weaknesses[]
- Cowardness: Usopp's greatest weakness is cowardice as he is afraid of fighting powerful enemies such as Shichibukai, Admirals and Yonkos.

- Usopp's long nose seems to be inspired on Pinocchio from The Adventures of Pinocchio.
- Bizarrely, all of his lies end up coming true.
- The island eater - The Straw Hat pirates encountered the Island Eater, a gigantic fish which was slain by both Dorry and Broggy to make way for the Going Merry.
- Pirates attacking Syrup Village - Captain Kuro orchestrated the attack on Syrup Village.
- Becoming a brave warrior.
