Utsuho Reiuji is a character from the Touhou Project series who first appeared as an antagonist in Subterranean Animism, before being turned into a redeemed villain by the players.
She is one of Satori Komeiji's pets, and is a Hell Raven who has lived in the underground world since before it was separated from Hell. Her occupation is the regulator of the flames of the Hell of Blazing Fires, a duty she is both serious and confident about.
Biography[]
Prior to the events of Subterranean Animism[]
She was told by a voice that she could swallow the god, Yatagarasu, that was hidden in the flames to gain a power that would fulfill the wishes of both the worlds below and above the surface. This power was nuclear fusion.
Subterranean Animism[]
Prologue[]
Misunderstanding what the voice, Kanako Yasaka, had told her, Utsuho decided that using the new powers she had received, she would take over Gensokyo. During this time, Orin, became worried about Utsuho, and drove evil spirits to the surface to cause an incident among the strong youkai above ground, in hope that they would come down to do something about it and rescue her friend.
During the events of Subterranean Animism[]
When the evil spirits had arrived to Gensokyo, they sought to defeat Utsuho and bring her back to her former self. What came, however, was not a strong youkai, but a strong human.
Relationships[]
- Satori Komeiji (Master): Satori Komeiji is Utsuho's master and Utsuho is one of Satori's pets.
- Rin Kaenbyou (Best Friend): Rin Kaenbyou is Utsuho's best friend, whom she has known for a very long time, even before she met Satori and when New Hell and Old Hell split apart, and greatly cares for her wellbeing. Rin was deeply saddened to know that Utsuho had turned evil and wished for her to return the way she had been before.
