Valerian in the anime
Valerian is the male protagonist of french sci-fi comic book Valerian and Laureline and 2017 Luc Besson movie Valerian and the city of a Thousand Planets. He is portrayed by Dane DeHaan in the movie.
He is a 21 year old Time Agent from Earth who was born in the 25th century. From an early age, he was trained to believe that the Time Agency is always right and even when he receives orders that go against his sense of right he will, reluctantly, follow them.
He prefers to be a man of action, rather than sitting around pondering what course to take next. He's a brisk, young kid, with straight forward, but impulsive nature.
