Valkyrie Yuna is one of the Four Shining Stars and is the Sword of Edens. She was also a mentor for Homura Kōgetsu and taught her how to use Soul Blade. In universe 0, she is alive and officially joined the crew.
She was voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro in Japanese and Rebeka Thomas in English.
Appearance[]
Valkyrie is a woman machine that is tall and slim. She has a dark skin tone, with salmon eyes and hair, that is tied in a ponytail with a lock of hair hanging on the left side of her face. She has seam line on her face that goes through her right eye. She wears a white armored battle suit that is form-fitting that includes green gauntlets, pauldrons, and a pair of winged boots with the emblem "E1" on her chest.
History[]
Two years after Ziggy disbanded the Four Shining Stars, Valkyrie saved Homura from three thugs who wanted to sell her on Guilsts in Oedo. She trained Homura how to use Ether Gear, until one day she disappeared to find Homura's biological mother after suffering discrimination by the citizens in Oedo for not being her mother by blood which affected Homura in a negative way. She traveled to Mildian to see Xiaomei to find out the real location of Homura's real mother. She traveled to Plant Sun Jewel and found her mother imprisoned within the Labor District. After learning the reason why Kurenai couldn't return in the first place is due to huge debt at the wealthy sector casinos, Kurenai accepts the request of Valkyrie paying her debt so she can return to her daughter Homura.
Two years later, she finds out the Kurenai doesn't return to her daughter and is the wife of the then ruler Baron Mordo, who seized his wealth and power for herself to be the new ruler of the planet. The Labor District was later attacked by a huge swarm of Stones, which Kurenai demends the laborers to mine more metals for her. Valkyrie fought the swarm by herself to protect the people of the Labor District. During the fight, she got really damaged. Before he died, she thought about Homura, and realized she never told Homura she loved her. Ever since that day, Valkyrie becomes the symbol of hope to the rebellion that caused Paul to form a Valkyrie Army.
However, in Universe 0, Valkyrie tells Homura that her mother, Kurenai, didn't really abandon her and she became the wife of Mordo, who held the planet Oedo hostage using the satellite blaze. Valkyria even tells Homura that Kurenai truly wanted to see her daughter so badly and when she found out that how dangerous Mordo was for slaughtering her people, Kurenai never acted against him again, involving that she formed the Punishers to defend Sun Jewel. After Homura reunites and grants Kurenai's freedom, Valkyrie joins Edens Zero.
