Vanessa Enoteca is a supporting character in Black Clover. She is a Magic Knight with a strong love for drinking and a penchant for hitting on and seducing men. A skilled mage and overall relaxed and friendly woman who likes to help newcomers, she originated from the Forest of Witches, but left upon meeting Yami against the Witch Queen's wishes.
Personality[]
Vanessa is an easygoing young woman who does things at her own pace. She has an immense liking for alcoholic drinks and handsome men, so much so that the former has led to her being given the nickname "the Drunken Frenzy Witch". Additionally, she's isn't afraid or ashamed to don more revealing attire in order to get the attention of men, additionally being her most comfortable when lying around the squad's headquarters without her pants where all her squad mates, both male and female, can freely see her underwear, proving that she has very little cares when it comes to modesty. She even got confused when Asta and Magna had little to no reaction upon seeing her in a bikini, who told her that it was hardly different from what she normally wears.
Furthermore, in spite of her raunchiness, Vanessa is a very caring person, not shying away from willingly offering her help to assist Noelle on finding a way to control her wayward magic. However, she isn't above attempting to seduce her fellow squadmates, as demonstrated through her constant flirtation with Yami Sukehiro. She also attempts to seduce Asta the first time they met.
She is also shown to be rather lazy, spending one of her days off doing literally nothing aside from drinking and sleeping. She also seems to enjoy shopping, happily taking Noelle and Asta on a shopping spree around town on their day off. However, Vanessa isn't ignorant of her flaws and sees herself as little more than a "drunk woman", until Asta's faith in her gives her the will to stand by him and help him on his journey. This carries over into the witch's forest, where her desire to rescue Asta and her friends allows her to unlock the true power of her thread magic to directly interact and alter the thread of fate.
Vanessa is also intelligent and somewhat conniving. As proven when she deftly maneuvered her opponent into a trap set by her threads, and offered herself to the witch queen in return for healing Asta while cloaking it under her plan to use his Anti Magic to escape later on.
